One arrested under Arms Act
A Case FIR No. 60 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Maloya on the complaint of police officials against Vikram S/o Venu R/o Ram Kumar R/o #4911, Small Flat, Sector-38 West, Chandigarh, aged about 25 years, who was apprehended near Ziri Mandi Chowk on 18-04-2026 at about 03:30 AM and one देशी कट्टा along with one live cartridge was recovered from his possession. The accused has been arrested and is in police custody. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A Case FIR No. 43 u/s 281, 125(A) BNS has been registered at Police Station 26 on the complaint of Akash Poswal S/o Pradeep Kumar Poswal R/o H. No. 728/7, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh stating that on 18-04-2026, a driver of an e-rickshaw bearing No. CH01-AF-5388 hit the Activa rider near Sector 27/28 light point and fled from the spot. The injured was admitted to hospital. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 32 u/s 281, 125(A) BNS has been registered at Police Station 49 on the complaint of Sumitra Devi W/o Sh. Bankelal R/o #1108, 1st Floor, Small Flat, Dhanas, Chandigarh stating that on 17-04-2026 at about 02:30 PM, her husband aged about 60 years was hit by a car near Burail Jail Small Chowk, Ayodhya Prashad Haripur (UP)
