One arrested under Excise act
A case FIR No. 37 u/s 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered at Police Station IT Park, Chandigarh on the complaint of ASI Hushinder Kumar (2053/CHG). He reported that Ram Babu S/o Jagan Nath R/o #241, NIC Mani Majra, Chandigarh (age 32 years) was apprehended from near bus stand, Kishangarh, Chandigarh on 13-04-2026 at about 10:25 PM, and 50 nips of country-made wine (Jannat Mast Santra Masaladar) were recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and later released on bail.
Theft case
A case FIR No. 28 u/s 305, 331(3) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Atish S/o Anil R/o #2090/3, Block-27, Sector-63, Chandigarh. He reported that an unknown person stole one gold kada, two gold rings, one gold chain, one pair of diamond earrings, two pairs of silver payal and Rs 5,000 cash from his house on 14-04-2026. Investigation of the case is in progress.
