Chandigarh, 17.03.26-Sh. Nishant Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh, chaired a comprehensive review meeting today to assess the progress and implementation status of the NAKSHA Project and the Land Stack Project. The meeting was attended by all key stakeholders, including senior officers from concerned departments, technical agencies, and field functionaries associated with the execution of these projects.
At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the current status of field surveys, data collection, digitization processes, and interdepartmental data integration under both projects. Detailed discussions were held regarding timelines, existing challenges, and the roadmap for timely completion.
Emphasizing the critical role of coordination, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for seamless interdepartmental collaboration to ensure accuracy, uniformity, and real-time sharing of data. Officers were directed to exercise utmost diligence during field surveys and ensure that every minute detail relating to properties—such as boundaries, ownership records, and structural specifics—is accurately captured and verified. This, he noted, is essential for creating a reliable and robust digital database.
The Deputy Commissioner further highlighted that both the NAKSHA and Land Stack projects are transformative, citizen-centric initiatives aimed at modernizing land and property records in Chandigarh. Once completed, these platforms will enable residents to access comprehensive property-related information online in a transparent and user-friendly manner.
He added that the initiatives will significantly reduce dependency on physical visits to government offices, minimize procedural delays, and enhance ease of living for citizens. The projects are also expected to bring greater transparency, reduce disputes, and strengthen governance through improved data management and accessibility.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all departments to adhere strictly to the prescribed timelines and ensure that the work is carried out in a mission mode. Regular monitoring and review mechanisms will be in place to track progress and address bottlenecks promptly.
All stakeholders were urged to work in close coordination and maintain high standards of accuracy and accountability to ensure the successful and timely completion of these key projects.
