Chandigarh, 13.03.206:The Chandigarh College of Architecture celebrated the Sixty Third Annual Festival ARCHO-2026.

The Chief Guest for the event was Shri. H. Rajesh Prasad, IAS, Chief Secretary, Chandigarh Administration. Ms. Prerna Puri, IAS, Secretary Technical Education, Chandigarh Administration was the Guest of Honour on the occasion.

The Festivities started on 27th February 2026 and comprised of a number of competitions including Architectural Installation Design, Sports Events, Fashion Show, Masterchef and a number of other creative endeavors. On 12th March 2026, the Inter House Cultural Competition was held where the students competed for the Best Play, the Best Dance Performance and the Best Vocal Performance. The Grand Finale in the form of the Prize Distribution Ceremony was organized on 13th March 2026.

The Programme for the evening consisted of the presentation of the annual report by Dr. Sangeeta Bagga Mehta, Principal, Chandigarh College of Architecture. This was followed by felicitation of students and faculty involved in various projects undertaken by the college during the year 2025, such as Enhanced Gram Panchayat Spatial Development Plan, IIT Jammu Consultancy Project, Installation for Chandigarh Marathon 2026 to name a few. The college’s recent publication ‘Khudda Jassu: The Urban Village of Chandigarh’ was unveiled by the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour. Distribution of prizes to the various award winners of the ARCHO competitions followed.

Chief Guest, Shri. H Rajesh Prasad, IAS, Chief Secretary, Chandigarh Administration emphasized on the importance of sports & good health and urged the students to continue the spirit of sports for the entire life to live a healthy and prosperous life. He urged the students to play a vital role in society and fulfill the responsibility of nation building upon entering the professional field.

Secretary Technical Education, Ms. Prerna Puri in her remarks appreciated the efforts of the students and congratulated the winners for their accomplishments.

The award for the Best Dance Performance was by Maurya . The Best Play was presented by Ashoka and the Best Vocalist was presented by Kavya Soni and Kashish. Rasneet and Prabhaleen were adjudged the Best Male and Female Sportspersons, respectively. The Best All Rounder Trophy was awarded to Yatharth. Ashoka won the Design Trophy, Maurya won the Cultural Trophy, Sports Trophy and the Overall Performance Trophy.
