एडीएम अमनदीप सिंह भट्टी ने कोविड के कारण अनाथ हुए बच्चों से की बातचीत
चंडीगढ़, 12 मार्च: श्री अमनदीप सिंह भट्टी, अतिरिक्त जिला मजिस्ट्रेट, चंडीगढ़ ने कोविड-19 महामारी के दौरान अपने माता-पिता को खो चुके बच्चों से संवाद किया। यह संवाद जिला बाल संरक्षण इकाई, चंडीगढ़ द्वारा आयोजित किया गया।
इस दौरान अतिरिक्त जिला मजिस्ट्रेट ने योजना के अंतर्गत पंजीकृत 13 बच्चों के साथ विस्तार से बातचीत की तथा उनके कुशलक्षेम, शैक्षणिक प्रगति, स्वास्थ्य स्थिति और पारिवारिक वातावरण के बारे में जानकारी ली। बैठक के दौरान बच्चों ने अपने अनुभव और भविष्य की आकांक्षाएं भी साझा कीं।
बच्चों को संबोधित करते हुए श्री अमनदीप सिंह भट्टी ने उन्हें आश्वस्त किया कि जिला प्रशासन उनके कल्याण और समग्र विकास के लिए पूरी तरह प्रतिबद्ध है। उन्होंने बच्चों को अपनी पढ़ाई और भविष्य के लक्ष्यों पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने के लिए प्रेरित किया और कहा कि प्रशासन उन्हें हर संभव सहयोग प्रदान करेगा।
श्री भट्टी ने कहा, “जिला प्रशासन यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए हर संभव प्रयास करेगा कि प्रत्येक बच्चे को जीवन में आगे बढ़ने के लिए आवश्यक अवसर और सहयोग प्राप्त हो। यदि किसी बच्चे को शिक्षा, पेशेवर पाठ्यक्रमों, कौशल विकास या किसी अन्य प्रकार की सहायता की आवश्यकता हो, तो वे किसी भी समय प्रशासन से संपर्क कर सकते हैं।”
उन्होंने जिला बाल संरक्षण इकाई को निर्देश दिए कि इन बच्चों के साथ प्रत्येक तिमाही में संवाद बैठक आयोजित की जाए, ताकि उनकी शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य और समग्र विकास की नियमित रूप से निगरानी की जा सके और आवश्यकता पड़ने पर उन्हें आवश्यक सहायता उपलब्ध कराई जा सके।
इस संवाद कार्यक्रम का समापन प्रशासन द्वारा बच्चों को निरंतर मार्गदर्शन और सहयोग प्रदान करने की अपनी प्रतिबद्धता दोहराते हुए हुआ, ताकि वे सुरक्षित, आत्मविश्वासी और सफल जीवन जी सकें।

CHANDIGARH, 12.03.26-Under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. Binu Dogra, the Health Society, Department of Economics, and Department of Physical Education of Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-42, Chandigarh organized a Blood Donation Camp in the college premises in collaboration with Government Multi-Specialty Hospital, Sector-16, Chandigarh and Shiv Kanwar Mahasangh Charitable Trust.
Ms. Heera Negi, President of BJP Chandigarh Mahila Morcha, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Principal welcomed her with flowers in the presence of Dean Ms. Anju Trikha and Health Society Convener Mrs. Preetkamal.
The Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of the staff members and student volunteers for organizing the camp. She encouraged the students to come forward for blood donation, highlighting its importance in saving lives along with the potential health and emotional benefits associated with the noble act.
A dedicated medical team led by Dr. Simar, along with doctors and nurses from Government Multi-Specialty Hospital, Sector-16, Chandigarh, was present to successfully conduct the camp.
A total of 55 people from within and outside the college donated blood during the camp. The initiative proved to be a great success.

Chandigarh, 12.03.2026:The Union Territory Child Protection Society (UTCPS), Chandigarh, under the aegis of the Department of Social Welfare, Women & Child Development, Chandigarh Administration, carried out extensive awareness and sensitization activities across the city as part of the 100-Day Intensive Thematic Campaign on “Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat”, an initiative of the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India.
The campaign, themed “Child Marriage Free Chandigarh,” aimed to sensitize the public about the harmful social, educational, health and legal consequences of child marriage, the legal age of marriage (18 years for girls and 21 years for boys) and the provisions under the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, which entail imprisonment up to two years and a fine up to ₹1 lakh. Citizens were also encouraged to report cases through Child Helpline 1098 (Day & Night) and Police Helpline 112.
During the campaign, a total of 130 awareness and sensitization activities were conducted across Chandigarh with the participation of 45,113 persons from the community and various departments. These activities included Nukkad Nataks (street plays) at locations such as Hallomajra, Ramdarbar, Burail and Mauli Jagra; awareness programmes in schools, colleges, universities, Anganwadi Centres and Child Care Institutions; pledge-taking ceremonies, poster and slogan competitions, lectures, storytelling sessions and documentary screenings; and community outreach through meetings and awareness programmes at temples, mosques, madrassas, markets, hospitals and transport hubs. IEC materials such as pamphlets, banners and mass appeal posters were widely distributed and displayed at public places and religious institutions for community sensitization. Awareness was further strengthened through radio jingles and digital messages on official platforms, while undertakings were obtained from religious institutions, marriage halls, band parties, caterers, DJs, tailors, photographers, decorators and tent house owners, affirming their commitment not to support or facilitate child marriage.
The campaign was implemented in collaboration with Chandigarh Child & Women Development Corporation Ltd. (CCWDC), Anganwadi Services, Department of Education, District Child Protection Units (DCPU), Child Helpline-1098, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), BAAL SARTHY Clubs, Child Care Institutions (CCIs) and various Departments/Boards/Units of Chandigarh Administration, including participation in UT-wide pledge-taking activities on prevention of child marriage.
With the successful completion of the 100-Day Campaign, these concerted efforts significantly strengthened community awareness and reinforced the collective commitment towards the vision of a Child Marriage-Free Chandigarh.
