Haryana Extends Deadline for Registration and Verification of Contractual Employees on Security of Service Portal
Chandigarh, March 16 - The Haryana Government has extended the timeline for completing the process related to the registration and verification of contractual employees on the state portal https://securedemployee.csharyana.gov.in under the Haryana Contractual Employees (Security of Service) Act, 2024 and Rules, 2025. The extension has been granted to facilitate the smooth completion of formalities by all eligible contractual employees.
According to a communication issued by Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi, the revised schedule extends the existing timelines by one month. The decision was taken after reviewing requests from various departments and offices to provide additional time for completing the registration and verification process. The Chief Secretary has asked all Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Managing Directors of Boards and Corporations, Divisional Commissioners, and Deputy Commissioners to ensure strict compliance with the revised schedule so that the process under the Act can be completed on time.
Under the revised schedule, contractual employees who have not yet completed their registration are required to register themselves on the portal and upload all relevant documents by April 15, 2026.
The concerned Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) have been directed to verify the details submitted by employees and scrutinize all documents uploaded on the portal. The verification of contractual service records must also be completed by April 25, 2026.
Following verification, the Finance Department will create supernumerary posts for eligible contractual employees who qualify for the benefit of service security under the Act. This process will be completed by May 15, 2026.
After the creation of posts, the Head of the Department concerned will grant final approval and issue the offer letter for Security of Service to eligible contractual employees by June 15, 2026.

Haryana Vidhan Sabha members pays tribute to the departed souls
Chandigarh, March 16 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, while reading the obituary resolutions during the ongoing Budget Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha on Monday, expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Smt. Prem Kaur Kalyan, mother of Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Sh. Harvinder Kalyan, and the death of seven people in an accident at a construction site in Gurugram. He expressed his condolences to the bereaved families.
The Chief Minister said that the demise of Smt. Prem Kaur Kalyan on March 13, 2026, is deeply saddening. Praying for peace to the departed soul, he wished strength and courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss in this difficult time.
The Chief Minister also expressed deep grief over the tragic and untimely death of seven people who were buried alive after a mound of soil collapsed during excavation work at a construction site in Gurugram on March 9. He said that this is a very painful incident and expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. He also expressed deep sorrow over the death of workers in an accident in the Safidon area of Jind district.
The Chief Minister said that the government stands with the affected families in this hour of grief and all possible assistance will be provided.
Deputy Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Dr. Krishan Lal Middha also expressed his condolences while paying tribute to the departed souls. Leader of Opposition Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda expressed condolences to the deceased on behalf of his party.

Swedish Delegation Learns About Ayurvedic Treatment System, Visits National Institute of Ayurveda in Panchkula
Chandigarh, March 16 – The global acceptance of India’s traditional medical system, Ayurveda, is steadily increasing. In this context, a delegation from Sweden visited the National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Panchkula, to learn about Ayurvedic treatment methods. On their arrival at NIA, Deputy Medical Superintendent (DMS) Dr. Gaurav Garg welcomed the delegation and briefed them about various Ayurvedic treatment practices. Dean In-charge Prof. Satish Gandharv also informed the delegation about the functioning of the institute and its academic activities. The delegation appreciated the Ayurvedic treatment methods being practiced at the National Institute of Ayurveda.
Dr. Gaurav Garg informed the delegation that under the aegis of the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, treatment is being provided to patients through Ayurvedic medical practices at the National Institute of Ayurveda under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Professor (Dr.) Sanjeev Sharma and Dean Professor Gulab Chand Pamnani. He added that around 400 to 500 patients visit the institute daily for consultation and treatment across its 12 OPDs, where they are treated by specialist doctors.
Medical Officer Dr. Shinsha conducted a tour of the institute for the delegation and explained in detail about the OPD and IPD facilities. The delegation visited the OPD and IPD sections along with the Panchakarma unit, central laboratory, physiotherapy unit, pharmacy, registration branch, and operation theatre.
Gabija Gadliauskaite and Rita Zilenaite, who led the delegation, appreciated the traditional Indian system of medicine and said that the demand for Ayurvedic treatment is increasing in European countries, and people’s trust in Ayurveda is becoming stronger. Many patients in several European countries are benefiting from Indian systems of medicine. They also praised the National Institute of Ayurveda, functioning under the Ministry of AYUSH, for establishing a distinct identity in Ayurvedic treatment.
The delegation is visiting India under the leadership of Swami Aditya, Coordinator of the Indo-Baltic Society for Consciousness, Lithuania. During their visit, they are touring different states of India, including tourist destinations as well as educational and Ayurveda-related institutions.
On this occasion, Dr. Rajendra, Dr. Vivek Gupta (Raipur Rani), and Richa Bhargava were also present.
