Energy Minister Anil Vij expresses deep grief over the demise of Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan’s mother

Chandigarh, March 14 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Smt. Prem Kaur Kalyan, mother of Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Sh. Harvinder Kalyan.

In his condolence message, Sh. Vij said that the news of the demise of Smt. Prem Kaur Kalyan is extremely sad and painful. He said that a mother holds the highest place in one’s life and her presence is a source of strength, values and guidance for the family. Her passing is not only an irreparable loss for the family but also a great loss to society.

Sh. Vij said that parents devote their entire lives to instilling good values, education and the right direction in their children. Smt. Prem Kaur Kalyan also nurtured her family with strong values, and it was under her guidance that her sons established their distinct identity in society and public life. Her affection, sacrifice and blessings will always remain a source of inspiration for the family.

Energy Minister Anil Vij said that his heartfelt sympathies are with the Kalyan family in this hour of grief. He prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength and courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. He further said that in this moment of sorrow, the entire society and well-wishers stand with the Kalyan family and are praying for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

It may be mentioned that Smt. Prem Kaur Kalyan (wife of Late Chaudhary Devi Singh Kalyan) has passed away. Her last rites will be performed today, March 14, 2026 (Saturday) at 2:30 PM at Shivpuri, Village Kutel in Karnal. The funeral procession will leave from the residence Kalyan Farm, Madhuban, Karnal at 2:00 PM.
