MAHENDERGARH, 13.01.26-Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the LEAD (LJK Economic Growth and Development Dialogue), marking a significant step towards strengthening academic collaboration, research-based policy advocacy, inclusive development initiatives, and national integration.

The MoU was signed between Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Haryana, and Harinder Gupta, convener, LEAD, in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Renu Vig, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University. LEAD Board Members CA Rajeev Gupta and Sanjeev Sharma, along with Prof. Ranjan Aneja, Dean, School of Business and Management Studies, CUH and other senior faculty members from Panjab University and Central University of Haryana were also present on this occasion.

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, CUH said that the MoU with LEAD is a significant step towards strengthening research-driven policy advocacy and academic collaboration. He emphasized that this partnership will promote inclusive development, national integration, and meaningful engagement of faculty and students in addressing contemporary socio-economic challenges through evidence-based research. He said that the collaboration would also provide opportunities for students and researchers to engage with policy-oriented projects and field-based studies.

Under this MoU the Central University of Haryana and LEAD will work collaboratively in areas such as research, policy studies, academic exchanges, seminars, conferences, capacity-building programs, and community outreach initiatives. The partnership aims to bridge the gap between academic research and grassroots realities by promoting evidence-based dialogue on issues including economic growth, education, employment, healthcare, tourism, renewable energy, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.

Mr. Harinder Gupta, Convener, LEAD said that LEAD is a first-of-its-kind citizens’ initiative, comprising like-minded professionals, experts, academicians, entrepreneurs, and social thinkers, dedicated to promoting sustainable, inclusive, and region-specific development models for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. Through strategic partnerships, LEAD seeks to encourage constructive dialogue, research-driven advocacy, and participatory development.
