MAHENDERGARH, 11.01.26-The Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh, organized a State-Level Camp of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) – Haryana on Sunday, 11th December. The event featured a range of competitions for students from Classes 6 to 11 from different schools across Haryana. The program was held in the Academic Block I of the University and concluded with a valedictory session addressed by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, as the Guest of Honor.

In his address, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar highlighted the importance of such initiatives in fostering scientific curiosity among students. He remarked that the active participation of students from various parts of the state was a reflection of the program’s success. Referring to the “Viksit Bharat @2047” vision, he emphasized that youth will play a pivotal role in building a developed India. He urged educational institutions to focus on character-building, enhancement of entrepreneurship development skills and to make young learners aware of their role in nation-building. Prof. Kumar also appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee for the successful conduct of the event.

Dr. Jitendra Kumar, Managing Director of Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), Department of Biotechnology, Government of India graced the event as Chief guest. He said that VVM is not just a competition, but a movement to ignite scientific temper among young minds. He emphasized on the importance of vedic gyan and research & Innovation in various domains. He motivated the students to aim startups and utilize various schemes launched by government of India.

Mr. Aakash Pandey Ji, North Region, Sangathan Mantri, Vijnana Bharati, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor. During his address, he emphasized on the importance of nurturing scientific temper among youth, highlighted the role of Vijnana Bharati in promoting indigenous knowledge systems, and inspired the audience to actively contribute towards nation-building through science and innovation.

Prof. Sunita Srivastava, Vice-President of Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA), Haryana, Professor in the Department of Physics & Astrophysics at CUH, and Program convenor, explained that Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is a national initiative of Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA) in collaboration with the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) and the program aims to popularize science among school students (Classes 6 to 11) and identify young talents with a scientific temperament. She proposed a formal vote of thanks to the Chief Guest, Guest of Honor, organizers, faculty members, volunteers and the participants, parents, family members and teachers.
Dr. Vivek Gupta, State Coordinator of VVM, expressed gratitude to Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Prof. Sunita Srivastava, faculty members, and volunteers for their support in making the event successful.
Mr. Manoranjan Kumar, Observer of VVM and Dr. Hardev Saini, member of the VVM Academic Committee also interacted with the students during the closing session. The event was organized with the support of Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA), Haryana. Prof. Sunita Srivastava (Vice-President, VIBHA Haryana) and Dr. Vivek Giupta (State Coordinator, VVM) played key roles in organizing the program. The event concluded with the felicitation of winning students.
