Chandigarh, January 8, 2026:Officer Trainees undergoing the Special Foundation Course 2025 paid a courtesy call on Hon’ble Governor of Punjab, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, today at Punjab Lok Bhawan.
On the occasion, Dr. Anirudh Tewari, IAS, Special Chief Secretary to the Government of Punjab and Director General, Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA), informed that MGSIPA, in collaboration with the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, is conducting a 10-week Special Foundation Course for the 2021 Batch Officers. The course commenced on 3rd November 2025 and will conclude on 9th January 2026. This is the first time that MGSIPA is conducting a Special Foundation Course on behalf of LBSNAA, Mussoorie.
The programme has brought together 32 Officer Trainees from All India and Central Services, including 12 IPS, 4 IFS, 4 IRS (IT), 3 IRS (C&IT), 1 ICAS, 1 IP&TAFS, 3 IPoS, 2 IIS, 1 ITS and 1 ICLS officer. The diverse representation from multiple services has enriched the learning environment and reflects the spirit of unity in diversity that defines India.
Present on the occasion included Sh.Anirudh Tewari, IAS, Special Chief Secretary to Government of Punjab & Director General, MGSIPA, Sh. VP Singh Principal Secretary to Governor Punjab, Sh.Amit Dhaka, IAS, Director, MGSIPA and Sh.Gulshan, IRTS (Retd.) Executive Director, MGSIPA.
