CHANDIGARH, 07.01.26-The Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, today inaugurated the revamped official website of Chandigarh Tourism at Lok Bhawan, Chandigarh

The new website has been redesigned and upgraded by the Department of Tourism, U.T. Chandigarh with the objective of making it more dynamic, visitor-friendly, and globally aligned, while significantly improving tourist engagement and ease of access to information for both domestic and international visitors .

The revamped platform features a modern, interactive and visually stimulating interface, improved navigation, and a refined content structure in line with international tourism standards. A dedicated “Fairs, Festivals & Events” section has been introduced, offering a centralized events listing portal with open registration whereby various departments, individuals as well as private organizations can register and showcase their event on the website, so as to facilitate enhanced visibility and footfall. Along with this, a calendar view of past and upcoming events has also been added, making the website a one stop platform information related to all events and activities happening in the city.

A newly introduced “Plan Your Visit” section assists tourists with comprehensive information including Why Visit Chandigarh, best time to visit, and suggested itineraries. The website also showcases 13 specially curated tourist itineraries covering interests such as Heritage, Nature, Wellness, Architecture, and Food, with options for 1-day, 2-day and 3-day visits, including inter-state attractions .

To further improve tourist facilitation, the website integrates important services such as E-Visa information linked with the Bureau of Immigration, Ministry of Home Affairs, details of Tourist Information Centres in a dedicated Travel Desk, and the Chandigarh Tourism E-ticketing App, which enables unified QR-code-based ticket booking for multiple tourist attractions through a single mobile platform .

The platform also highlights the Film Facilitation Cell, which enables online permission for film shootings at various city locations within 3–5 working days, and provides enhanced tourist information including theatre and auditorium booking details, major attractions with photographs, and links to related departmental platforms.
