CHANDIGARH, 01.01.26-Chief Secretary, UT Chandigarh, Shri H. Rajesh Prasad, extended warm New Year greetings to all officers and officials of the Chandigarh Administration and their families, conveying his sincere wishes for a happy, healthy, and prosperous year ahead.

While addressing the officers, the Chief Secretary underscored the importance of further strengthening the functioning of the Administration, with particular focus on middle and lower-level staff. He urged senior officers to ensure that initiatives and policies are effectively implemented at all levels by actively engaging employees, thereby making the Administration more responsive, citizen-centric, and efficient.

Emphasizing the value of collective effort and teamwork, he noted that these are essential for enhancing public service delivery and sustaining Chandigarh’s reputation as a well-administered city. He also highlighted the need to further strengthen health infrastructure to ensure the continued provision of high-quality healthcare services to residents.

The Chief Secretary directed officers to conduct regular inspections at the frontline level of service delivery. He stressed that middle-level and supervisory officers must closely monitor and review the performance of employees under their supervision to ensure accountability, efficiency, and timely resolution of public grievances. He also called for systematic reforms in processes across various offices to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance overall service delivery.

He further emphasized that all staff members should be motivated to perform at their best and work collaboratively as a cohesive team to achieve the Administration’s goals.

Concluding his address, he urged all officials to work with dedication, integrity, accountability, and innovation. He stated, “Let us make Chandigarh first in all aspects, setting benchmarks in governance, public service, and quality of life for our citizens.”
