Chandigarh, November 21:- Smt. Harpreet Kaur Babla, Mayor of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh (MCC) today extended a warm welcome to the Nagar Kirtan being organized to mark the 350th Saheedi Purab of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. The Nagar Kirtan commenced from Gurudwara, Sector 22-D and is proceeding towards Gurdwara Sahib, Sector 37-C, Chandigarh.

A large number of devotees, Panj Pyare, Children, Gatka groups, religious organizations and residents from various parts of the city are participating in the Nagar Kirtan with great devotion and enthusiasm. The Mayor appreciated the efforts of the organizers and extended best wishes to the Sangat on this auspicious occasion.

The MCC has also made arrangements for drinking water and langar for the Sangat and special arrangement for cleanliness of roads on the route of the Nagar Kirtan to ensure smooth procession across the city.

The Mayor paid homage to Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji’s supreme sacrifice and said that his teachings inspire mankind to uphold humanity, truth and freedom of faith.
