Chandigarh, August 11, 2025:Panjab University Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig today released the latest edition of the Department of Education newsletter (Vol. 3, Issue 1). Congratulating the department, Prof. Vig lauded its consistent leadership in academic excellence and social contribution, urging faculty and students to continue shaping the future of education while meaningfully advancing the University’s mission.

PU Concludes Skill Enhancement Course on Basic to Advanced Excel
Chandigarh, August 11, 2025-The Centre for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (CSDE) at Panjab University, in collaboration with the University Business School (UBS), has successfully concluded its eleven-day Skill Enhancement Course titled Mastering Basic to Advanced Excel. The programme, designed to strengthen workplace-ready data skills, covered a wide range of Excel functionalities, from core tools to automation techniques and emerging AI-driven features. Participants who completed the course were awarded certificates during the valedictory function.
Addressing the gathering as Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker, Mr. Deepak Rana, Associate Regional Head, HDFC Life, Chandigarh, described Excel as an indispensable business tool that has evolved alongside technological advancements. He emphasised the importance of continuous skill upgrading to remain relevant, boost productivity, and advance career prospects in an ever-changing professional landscape.
