CHANDIGARH, 07.05.25-Dr Neeza Singh, Librarian, T.S. Central State Library, Chandigarh has been elected as Standing Committee Member of the International Federation of Library Institutions and Association (IFLA)- Metropolitan Libraries Section for the second consecutive term (2025-2029). IFLA, founded in 1927 with headquarters at Netherlands, Hague, is the highest international non profit body voicing interest of Libraries in the world.
“Serving on this committee at international platform has been a rewarding experience, and I look forward to building on this progress in the coming term, continuing to collaborate, share ideas, foster innovation, and inclusive library services contributing to the development of public libraries in India”, said Dr Singh.
Dr Neeza Singh is a globally renowned librarian from Chandigarh, a gold Medalist from Panjab University, Chandigarh and also State Awardee for her meritorious service from Chandigarh Administration, apart from numerous awards from other platforms for her innovative work.
