Chandigarh, September 23: Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij congratulated the Indian women’s cricket team on winning the gold medal at the Asian Games and said that the team had added more stars to India’s crown with its remarkable achievement.

Speaking to mediapersons today, Vij strongly responded to former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s statement alleging that the law-and-order situation in Haryana had collapsed. Vij said that maintaining law and order is the highest priority of the present government.

He said that the elements responsible for such activities had emerged during the Congress regime and had allegedly been involved in looting with the support of those governments. “Their shops have now been shut, which is why they are resorting to such activities. We are keeping a close watch on all such elements,” Vij said.

*“Surjewala Has Started Practising ‘Panditai’”*

Reacting to Congress leader Randeep Surjewala’s statement describing the Aam Aadmi Party as the BJP’s “B team”, Energy Minister Anil Vij said that Surjewala had left politics and started practising ‘Panditai’, and that he was making statements based on his “unusual predictions.”

Vij said that the BJP is fully capable of forming a government on its own and does not require support from any other party. He said that BJP governments are currently in power in 22 states across the country and that the party does not need anyone’s support.

*“Respecting Indian Traditions Is Our Duty”: Vij*

Reacting to AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s remarks targeting Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, in which Kejriwal had commented that the Chief Minister becomes a “Sardar” when he visits Punjab and a “Bihari” when he visits Bihar, Energy Minister Anil Vij said that respecting Indian traditions is the duty of everyone.

Vij said that people across the country respect local traditions and customs and that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was also following the same tradition. “If the Chief Minister is respecting Indian traditions, what is the problem with them?” he said.
