CHANDIGARH, 18.09.26-Sh. Kamaljit Singh Panchhi, President, Chandigarh Traders Association (Regd.), Sector 17, Chandigarh, and Brand Ambassador, Swachh Bharat Mission Chandigarh, along with members of the Association, organised a cleanliness drive near Hotel Taj, Sector 17-A, Chandigarh, on the auspicious occasion of the birthday of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi Ji. The occasion was observed as Seva Sankalp with the members contributing towards the vision of a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable Chandigarh. The cleanliness drive was carried out with the support and cooperation of the sanitation staff of the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh.
A poster highlighting the cleanliness drive and the Association’s initiative was presented to Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, Chandigarh, during the launch of the *Swachhata Hi Seva 2026* campaign at Rani Lakshmi Bai Mahila Bhawan, Sector 38, Chandigarh. The Hon’ble Governor appreciated the efforts of Sh. Kamaljit Singh Panchhi for his active participation in promoting cleanliness and contributing towards a cleaner Chandigarh.
Sh. Kamaljit Singh Panchhi expressed his gratitude to the Hon’ble Governor for the encouragement and appreciation. He appealed to all MWAs and RWAs of Chandigarh to come forward and actively participate in the ongoing *Swachhata Hi Seva 2026* campaign, being observed from 17 September to 17 October 2026, under the inspiring theme: *Swachhata Mein Sahbhag* – *Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat*.”He emphasised that cleanliness is a collective responsibility and called upon residents, market associations, welfare organisations and citizens to join hands and make Chandigarh cleaner, greener, healthier and more sustainable.
