Chandigarh, August 21 — Haryana's Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh.Anil Vij today met with delegations of the Anubandhit bijli karmchari Sangh, Haryana and Nagarpalika karmchari Sangh, Haryana, who were protesting outside his residence in Ambala Cantonment. He received their memorandums and assured them addressed on their demands. He said employees' welfare is his top priority and every effort will be made to resolve their issues.
The Anubandhit bijli karmchari Sangh, Haryana delegation raised demands including job security and equal pay, among others. Energy Minister Anil Vij assured them he would discuss these demands in a meeting with the department's Commissioner and Secretary.
Similarly, members of the Nagarpalika karmchari Sangh, Haryana also met the Energy Minister and submitted a memorandum listing their demands. Vij assured them he will convene a meeting in Chandigarh soon to resolve these issues. Office-bearers of the employees' organizations were also present on the occasion.
