Two persons arrested in Theft case

A Case FIR No.125 U/S 305 BNS & Added 317(2), 3(5) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector-34 Chandigarh on the complaint of Neeraj Kumar R/o Village- Kuchai Koth Distt- Gopalganj Bihar against unknown person who stole away 2 mobile phone from # 1221 Sector 33/C, Chandigarh on the night intervening 15/16-08-2026. During the investigation the accused persons Sarvesh @ Kamal @ Panchhi R/o village- Sadhwa Kher Distt- Unnao (Up) and Sagar @ Kancha R/o # 975 near kheda village- burail Sector 45 Chandigarh were arrested. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Theft

A Case FIR No. 81 U/S 305, 331(4) BNS has been registered in Police Station Manimajra Chandigarh on the complaint of Manpreet Singh Walia R/o # 32, Mdc, Sector- 4, Panchkula Haryana against unknown person who stole away 2 gold coin, cash Rs 12,75,000/-, aadhar card, axis bank cheque book and other documents from his sco no. 836 NAC mani majra, Chandigarh on the night intervening 16/17-08-2026. Investigation of this case is in progress.

One person arrested in Arms Act

Chandigarh police arrested Akash@ Chuchi R/o # 908 Ph 1 Ramdarbar Chandigarh from open ground near CRPF wall hallo majra, Chandigarh on 17-08-2026 and recovered one kamanidar knife from his possession. A Case FIR No.132 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in Police Station Sector-31 Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Accident

A Case FIR No. 131 U/S 281, 125(A) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector-31Chandigarh on the complaint of Shahbaz Khan R/o # 1257 Mani Majra against Ravinder Yadav R/o # 1264 Sector-20 Chandigarh driver of Haryana roadways bus no. HR-68GV-1111 who hit complainant Wagner car no. PB-01D 5073 near Sector-31/32 light point on 17-08-2026. Complainant got injured and admitted in GMCH-32 Chandigarh. Accused arrested and later on bailed out. Investigation of this case is in progress.

PS Cheating case

A Case FIR No.131 U/S 316(2), 318(4), 61(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector-39 Chandigarh on the complaint of Vikram Jain R/o # 1825, Sector- 22/B Chandigarh against Rakesh, Monu, Akshay, R/o Gurdaspur (Punjab) they cheated with complainant Rs 4,20,000/- regarding taken the vehicle on rent and misrepresented. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No.115 U/S 420, 120/B IPC has been registered in Police Station Sector-17 Chandigarh on the complaint of Harjit Singh R/o # 109, Village Buterla Sectortor-41 Chandigarh against the lady and others of Rahal Consultants SCO no. 117-118, first floor, Sector- 17/B, Chandigarh. They cheated the complainant with Rs 12,51,000/- regarding visa. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Cyber Crime Cheating Case

A Case FIR No.138 U/S 318(4), 319(2), 336(3), 338, 340(2), 61(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Cyber Crime Sector-17 Chandigarh on the complaint of Nikhil Choudhary R/o # 1136 Sector-19/B, Chandigarh against unknown person who cheated with complainant Rs 4,17,190/- regarding fraud through clicking on malicious link regarding traffic Challan. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No. 139 U/S 318(4), 319(2), 336(3), 338, 340(2), 61(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Cyber Crime Sector-17 Chandigarh on the complaint of Sunil Singh R/o # 1500 Sector 29/B, Chandigarh against Unknown person who cheated with complainant Rs 10,77,000/- regarding fraud in the name of work from home by completing simple task on telegram. Investigation of this case is in progress.
