CHANDIGARH, 28.07.26-Government schools in Chandigarh are redefining education by promoting experiential learning and scientific temper among students. At the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) of Government High School, Dadu Majra, students from Classes V to X learn by identifying real-life problems, building prototypes and experimenting with innovative solutions under the guidance of ATL In-charge Bharat Bhushan.
The school’s students have consistently excelled in prestigious national platforms including the Atal Tinkering Marathon, INSPIRE–MANAK, School Innovation Marathon, IRIS National Fair and National Toy Fair. In 2025 alone, 28 student projects participated in the national Buildathon. The school has also earned recognition as a Star ATL of India and has won several state-level science, mathematics and environment exhibitions.
Experiential learning has enabled students to develop critical thinking, creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills while encouraging them to view failure as an opportunity to learn. By fostering curiosity, innovation and evidence-based thinking, Chandigarh’s government schools are preparing students to become confident innovators and responsible citizens, contributing towards the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
