Chandigarh, 9 July-Sh. Kamaljit Singh Panchhi, President, National Human Rights & Anti-Corruption Force (NHRACF), Chandigarh, and Brand Ambassador, Swachh Bharat Mission, along with Sh. Anil Vohra, Chairman, NHRACF Chandigarh, and other members of the organization, visited the residence of Padma Shri awardee Sh. I.J.S. Sidhu, IPS (Retd.), to extend their heartfelt congratulations on his being conferred the prestigious Padma Shri Award by the Hon’ble President of India in recognition of his exemplary contributions to society. On this occasion, the delegation honoured Sh. Sidhu with a Holy Siropa, shawl, bouquet, memento, box of laddoos, and a letter of appreciation as a mark of respect and gratitude for his selfless service to the nation and society.
Speaking on the occasion, Kamaljit Singh Panchhi and Anil Vohra stated that Sh. I.J.S. Sidhu has set an extraordinary example of dedicated public service. Even after his retirement from the Indian Police Service, he has continued to work tirelessly for social causes, particularly through cleanliness drives, environmental awareness campaigns, and community welfare initiatives, all undertaken voluntarily and without seeking any personal recognition. Panchhi appealed to the residents of Chandigarh to actively participate in cleanliness drives and contribute towards keeping the city clean and green. Inspired by the exemplary service and vision of Padma Shri awardee Sh. I.J.S. Sidhu, urged citizens to join hands in making Chandigarh a model city of cleanliness, environmental responsibility, and civic pride.
