Chandigarh, March 16: Paramjit Singh Kainth, Vice President of the Scheduled Caste Morcha of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), described the party’s “Badlaav Rally” held in Moga as historic and thanked the people of Punjab for their overwhelming support. He said the large turnout at the rally indicates that people in the state are expecting positive change, development, and good governance.
According to BJP leader Kainth, the participation of people from various sections of society made the rally particularly significant. He said the unity, dedication, and coordinated efforts of party leaders and workers have sent a strong political message across the state.
The Morcha leader said the rally’s success reflects the BJP’s organizational strength and collective leadership. He appreciated the efforts of Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar, Working President Ashwani Sharma, and Organization Secretary Manthri Srinivasulu, along with district-level office bearers and grassroots workers. He said the rally has highlighted the growing presence of the BJP in Punjab’s political landscape.
During the rally, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah raised several important issues related to Punjab. He described the drug menace in the state as a serious social and political challenge and stressed the need for strict action against drug trafficking networks.
He also expressed concern over the law-and-order situation and claimed that it has weakened under the current state government.
On the issue of economic development, the BJP stated that development can progress faster if the same party forms governments both at the Centre and in the state. Kainth said the attention being given to Punjab by the central leadership reflects the BJP’s commitment to the state’s development and public welfare.
He emphasized that the issues raised during the rally were not merely political statements but reflected the real concerns of the people of Punjab, particularly the problems of drugs, law and order, and economic progress.
Kainth said that the “Badlaav Rally” was not merely a political gathering, but also served as an important platform to deliberate on the key issues facing Punjab. On the occasion, a forward-looking vision for the state’s future based on good governance, transparency, and sustainable development was also presented.
He added that in the coming period, a detailed draft highlighting the concerns and issues of Scheduled Caste communities will be shared with the BJP’s national leadership to bring them to their attention and work towards appropriate solutions.
He further said that the Union Home Minister’s political visit signals the seriousness of the BJP’s national leadership in expanding the party in Punjab and focusing on key issues. According to political observers, the Moga rally is seen as part of the BJP’s long-term strategy to strengthen its organization in Punjab and expand its outreach among new social groups.
Kainth expressed confidence that the success of the rally has generated new enthusiasm among party leaders and workers. He said the growing sentiment for change among the people could play an important role in leading Punjab towards development, stability, and a drug-free society.
