CHANDIGARH, 25.02.26-unThe Science Club ‘NEON’ of PG Govt. College for Girls-42 organized the Intercollege Science Fest – 2026 on 25th February 2026 under the sponsorship of the Department of Science and Technology and Renewable Energy, Chandigarh Administration, under the guidance of Principal Prof. Binu Dogra and Convener Prof. Deepika Kansal. The fest focused on “Women & Girls in Science” and “Fostering Public Trust in Science,” promoting scientific temperament and innovation. Students from various colleges participated in Debate, Model Making, Poster Presentation, Science Quiz, and Scitoon competitions. Winners were felicitated with certificates and trophies. The event concluded successfully, inspiring students toward scientific inquiry and sustainable development.

Highlights and results of the various events are:

In the Scitoon Making Competition, Pooja Kumari (PGGCG-42) secured First Position, followed by Taranpreet (PGGCG-42) in Second Position and Palak (PGGCG-42) in Third Position. In the Poster Making Competition, Jahnavi Soni (PGGCG-42) won First Position, Bhavneet (PGGCG-42) secured Second Position, and Arshdeep Kaur (PGGCG-11) stood Third. In the Model Making Competition, Vedika and Sneha (PGGC-11) achieved First Position, Mehak Saini and Sneha (PGGCG-42) secured Second Position, and Mehak Rani and Janvi (PGGCG-42) bagged Third Position. In the Debate Competition, Sai Giridhar (GGDSD College,sector-32) won First Position, Chanchal Thakur (PGGCG-42) secured Second Position, and Komal Deep Kaur (PGGC-11) achieved Third Position.
