MAHENDERGARH, 24.02.26-The Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh, is set to host its two-day Annual Cultural Fest “Spandan–2026” commencing on 27 February 2026. The grand celebration will showcase a vibrant confluence of art, culture, and youthful creativity, bringing together students from various universities across Haryana.
On the inaugural day, Prof. G. Satheesh Reddy, Member, National Security Advisory Board (NSAB), Honorary Advisor (Cabinet Rank) to the Government of Andhra Pradesh, former Chairman of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), and former Scientific Adviser to the Raksha Mantri, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. The valedictory session will be attended by Shri Kanwar Singh, MLA, Mahendragarh, as the Chief Guest. The programme will be presided over by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor said that the annual fest reflects a harmonious blend of art and culture through a diverse range of activities organized on the campus.
Prof. Renu Yadav, Dean, Students' Welfare, informed that the two-day inter-university cultural festival will feature competitions and performances across multiple disciplines including Music, Dance, Fine Arts, Poetry Recitation, Debate, Literary Events, and Theatre. Events such as Vocal Music, Group Dance, Folk Dance, Skit, Mime, Painting, Collage Making, Rangoli, Mehendi, Photography, and Poster Making will provide a dynamic platform for students to showcase their talent.
Prof. Renu further shared that along with university students, folk artists and participants representing diverse states and cultural backgrounds will present their performances, enriching the cultural ethos of the event. Dr. Aarti Yadav informed that teams from several prestigious institutions are participating in Spandan–2026.
On the second day, faculty members, non-teaching staff, outsourced employees, and students will be felicitated for their outstanding contributions to the University. Dr. Neeraj Karn Singh, Deputy Dean, Student Welfare, informed that on 26 February 2026 at 5:00 PM, a grand cultural procession will be organized on the eve of the festival. Students representing various states, linguistic groups, and cultural backgrounds will participate in a vibrant parade showcasing the rich diversity of Indian culture. This year’s procession will be organized under the theme “Bharat Ek, Bharatiya Ek”, symbolizing unity in diversity.
