*Bilaspur to be Empowered with CNG and PNG Network — Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Calls for Clean Transportation

*BPCL to Develop Modern Gas Infrastructure; Three CNG Stations Already Operational in the District

Bilaspur, November 3, 2025-In a significant step towards promoting clean and affordable fuel, the District Administration of Bilaspur has initiated the establishment of a comprehensive Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) network. This initiative is being implemented by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) to ensure the availability of eco-friendly fuel to the public. The information was shared by Deputy Commissioner Bilaspur, Rahul Kumar.

He informed that the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB), Government of India, has authorized BPCL to develop city gas distribution networks in 81 districts across the country. Bilaspur has now joined this list, with CNG and PNG network development work already underway.

The Deputy Commissioner stated that three CNG stations have already been established in the district. For PNG supply, a District Compression Unit (DCU) is being set up at AIIMS Bilaspur, and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between AIIMS and BPCL has already been finalized. Additionally, another DCU is being planned for the Ghumarwin area to provide piped gas facilities to the residents there.

Highlighting the environmental benefits, the Deputy Commissioner said that CNG is a clean, safe, and eco-friendly fuel that significantly reduces pollution compared to petrol and diesel. He urged the public to adopt CNG vehicles to support clean energy and contribute to a pollution-free environment.

BPCL officials informed that the corporation plans to further expand CNG and PNG facilities across Bilaspur district in the coming years. This initiative will play a crucial role in advancing Bilaspur towards a sustainable and green energy future.

गाहर से केट रोड यातायात के लिए 29 नवम्बर तक बंद

बिलासपुर, 3 नवम्बर : जिला दण्डाधिकारी एवं उपायुक्त बिलासपुर राहुल कुमार ने मोटर वाहन अधिनियम, 1988 की धारा 115 के अंतर्गत आदेश जारी करते हुए बताया कि घुमारवीं उपमण्डल के गाहर से केट मार्ग के आवश्यक मुरम्मत कार्य के चलते सभी प्रकार के यातायात के लिए आगामी 29 नवम्बर, 2025 तक बंद रहेगा।
यह आदेश एम्बुलेंस, स्कूल बसों, वीआईपी वाहनों तथा अन्य आपातकालीन सेवा वाहनों के लिए लागू नहीं होंगे।

श्री नैना देवी जी विकास खंड की टोबा संगवाना पंचायत में जन जातीय गौरव दिवस पर आयोजित होंगी विभिन्न गतिविधियां: उपायुक्त
बिलासपुर, 03 नवम्बर: जिला बिलासपुर में जनजातीय गौरव दिवस 2025 के उपलक्ष्य में श्री नैना देवी जी विकास खंड की ग्राम पंचायत टोबा संगवाना में जन-जागरूकता से संबंधित विविध गतिविधियों का आयोजन किया जाएगा।
इस बारे जानकारी देते हुए उपायुक्त बिलासपुर राहुल कुमार ने बताया कि जनजातीय गौरव दिवस के अवसर पर 7 नवंबर को राजकीय प्राथमिक विद्यालय नीला में आधार सत्यापन, स्वास्थ्य शिविर, पोषण अभियान तथा अन्य गतिविधियां आयोजित की जाएंगी। 10 नवंबर को राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय टोबा में निबंध, चित्रकला और भाषण प्रतियोगिता के साथ-साथ स्वास्थ्य शिविर, आधार सत्यापन सहित अन्य गतिविधियों का आयोजन किया जाएगा।
उन्होंने बताया कि 15 नवंबर को ग्राम पंचायत भवन टोबा में क्षय रोग जागरूकता सहित स्वास्थ्य शिविर, आधार कार्ड, आयुष्मान भारत कार्ड, जनधन खाता कैंप, पोषण अभियान तथा स्वयं सहायता समूहों के प्रोत्साहन संबंधी गतिविधियां आयोजित की जाएंगी।
उपायुक्त ने संबंधित विभागीय अधिकारियों को निर्देश देते हुए कहा कि जन जातीय दिवस के अवसर पर आयोजित की जा रही इन गतिविधियों में स्थानीय लोगों की ज्यादा से ज्यादा भागीदारी सुनिश्चित बनाई जाए ताकि अधिक से अधिक लोग इन गतिविधियों से लाभान्वित हो सकें।
