SHIMLA -26th June, 2025-Members of the Hospital Welfare Section of the Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Society called on Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Raj Bhavan today and presented a cheque of rupees 1.11 lakh collected by the IAS Wives Association as a contribution to the Red Cross.

The Governor, who is also the President of the State Red Cross Society, expressed his gratitude to the members for their generous donation. He said that the amount would be utilized to support underprivileged and needy individuals in need of medical and humanitarian assistance.

Commending the spirit of service shown by the association, the Governor remarked that the Red Cross has always been committed to the welfare of distressed and vulnerable sections of society. He urged more individuals and organizations to come forward and associate themselves with the Red Cross to serve the cause of humanity.

Secretary to the Governor C.P. Verma, and members of IAS wives Association including Ritika Jindal, Meeta Pant, Jhumpa Jamwal and Poonam Sharma were present on the occasion.
