CHANDIGARH,24.06.25-The Environment Society of India, Chandigarh, held a crucial meeting at Karuna Sadan, Sector 11-B, chaired by Dr. R.C. Mishra, IPS (Retd.). Secretary Mr. N.K. Jhingan welcomed members and addressed the rising financial burden due to steep office rent and reduced funding. The Society resolved to seek rent waiver from UT authorities and boost CSR support.

Plans were discussed for a Media Centre, tree plantations for Van Mahotsav, and launching the Society’s new website. The meeting ended with a strong call for collective action.
