Ludhiana 21 June 2025-The cadets of 1 Pb R&V Squadron and volunteers of National Service Scheme (NSS), Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal sciences university celebrated International Yoga Day with full fervour and enthusiasm. Commanding Officer of the NCC unit Col. A Shrinivas Rao, Capt. Dr. Nittin Dev Singh, Lt. Dr. P.P. Dubey, Dr Nidhi Sharma, NSS Programme coordinator, cadets and volunteers participated in the Yoga-day.

During the Yoga session different Yogasanas were performed to promote physical and mental well-being through the ancient practice of yoga. The event began with the chanting of prayers and warm-up exercises, followed by a series of asanas. Students enthusiastically performed postures like Surya Namaskar, Bhujangasana, Vajrasana, Anulom-Vilom etc in perfect synchrony, reflecting their discipline and commitment.

Dr JPS Gill, Vice-Chancellor praised the enthusiastic participation and emphasized the role of yoga in maintaining mental and physical well-being. "Yoga is not just a practice but a lifestyle that promotes harmony between body and mind. I am proud to see our NSS volunteers and NCC cadets embracing this ancient tradition with such dedication," Dr. Gill opined.

Col A Shrinivas Rao addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of yoga in building resilience, focus, and mental strength. Sh. Ranjit Singh from Himalayan Yoga was the resource person for the NSS Volunteers.
