Chandigarh, 24 April 2025:In a show of unity and resolve, members of the Market Committee Sector 19-C, Chandigarh organized a candlelight march this evening to condemn the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam. The march aimed to express deep sorrow for the victims and to stand in solidarity with their families.

The peaceful protest began at 7:00 PM in the Market Area of Sector 19-C, where local traders, residents, and committee members gathered to voice their outrage and grief over the tragic incident. Candles were lit as a symbol of hope, peace, and resistance against violence.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vinod Talwar, President of the Market Committee, said, “This is not just an attack on innocent lives, but an assault on humanity. We are here to send a clear message—terror has no place in our society.”

The committee called upon the wider community to unite against such acts of violence and urged authorities to ensure the safety and security of all citizens.
