Mohali, 12th May 2023: "J.P. Eye Hospital," a unit of Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital held a press conference in Mohali in which the campaign to spread awareness for eye donation was discussed and announced that a Walkathon of 5 Kilometres would be organized on Sunday, May 14, to encourage eye donation and prevent blindness. Participants from various walks of life and from all age groups of Tricity showed big enthusiasm to participate in this event for the noble cause.

During this press conference, Mr. Harsimran Singh Bal PPS, DSP Mohali was present on behalf of Dr. Sandeep Garg (IPS), SSP, Mohali, Ms. Sonia Mann (Punjabi actor and social activist), Ms. Gurvinder Kaur (Punjabi TV actor), and Mr. JS Jayara (Principal, Institute for Blind, Sector 26, Chd), presented their views about the importance of Eye Donation.

This Campaign is organized by J P Eye Hospital, A Unit of Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital, India’s biggest corporate chain of eye hospitals; as its social responsibility towards our Nation.

Dr Jatinder Singh, Medical Director and Head of clinical services of Mohali Unit shared information about this campaign as well as the importance of eye donation.

The start of this campaign is scheduled for Sunday, May 14, from 5:30 a.m. until 7:30 a.m. A walkathon campaign will be organized from J.P. Eye Hospital, 35 Phase 7 Mohali, to the Phase 7 Market parking area. Mr Gurpreet Singh Bhullar (IPS, IGP, Commissioner, Punjab Police) and Mrs Aashika Jain (IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Mohali), have consented to flag off the walkathon at 6.15 am on Sunday.SSP Mohali Dr Sandeep Garg IPS and Famous artists of the Punjabi film industry Mr. Jaswinder Bhalla and Ms.Gurvinder Kaur, will be joining this event on Sunday.
