AMRITSAR, 20.12.22-PRESIDENT OF SBI LADIES CLUB SMT. ANITA KHARA during her visit to Amritsar donated educational infrastructure of 100 school desks for students, 25 cieling fans for school rooms, water coolers, and Commercial RO Drinking Water Purification System for use by students of the Sri Guru Arjan Dev Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Taran Taran, Punjab, on 19-12-2022.

The school is among the oldest in the area and has 2600 students on rolls for schooling and education. Smt. Anita Khara said that the small contribution by SBI will enable education of girl child more effectively and give opportuniies for girls. She said while addressing the students that girls will make half of the future of the country, if not more, with their determination and hard work. She applauded the school for excellent contribution in sports especially Hockey and Judo-Karate.

Smt. Khara, President SBI Ladies Club also donated contribution of 4 computers, LED screen, Book Cases, and soft toys for welfare and educational support of speacialy abled children who are hearing challenged, at the Bhagat Puran Singh School for Deaf at Manawala, Amritsar. The school is run by the All India Pingalwara Charitable Society who provide shelter, care, and education to the needy and destitute persons.

The Trustees of Pingalwara Charitable Society conveyed thanks for the support given by SBI family for the Educational Support Programme for the deaf children at the school. Dr. Inderjit Kaur, Col. Darshan Bajwa, and other Office bearers of the Pingalwara Charitable Society were present on the occasion.

Smt Khara spoke passionately about how sports and education build good chahracter and equip children for future. Education is best enabler of security for children, she said. She expressed best wishes for the future of all Children which is the real security of our world.
