Chandigarh, June 17, 2021-Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JJS), Chandigarh organized a COVID Vaccination camp to provide the first dose of the COVID vaccine to the population above the age of 18 years at its office campus in Sector 38 on June 17, 2021 from 0930-1400 hrs. The camp was organised in collaboration with the Director Health Services, Chandigarh; and, it saw a good turnout.

On this occasion, Chandigarh’s Mayor Sh. Ravi Kant Sharma along with Municipal Councillor and Board Member, Jan Shikshan Sansthan Ms. Shipra Bansal were also seen. Ms. Shipra informed that this was the first voluntary COVID Vaccination camp in the sector and praised the Director Health Services, Chandigarh for the support in this initiative.

Ms. Ramanjot Kaur who rose to fame by creating a world record for the ‘Fastest Expedition to Mt. Kilimanjaro’ in April, 2019 also got herself vaccinated at the camp today. Ms. Ramanjot Kaur climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro by alpine style with 4 crew members and completed the expedition in 24 hours. Talking about her next aim, she says, “I wish to set world records in all of the seven summits, once the pandemic is over.”

Most of the staff at Jan Shikshan Sansthan and their family members along with many people from the neighboring areas got vaccinated here, today. Sh. Arjun Kamboj, Director Jan Shikshan Sansthan said, “We will try our best to organize another camp soon to offer the second dose of the vaccine too.”
