Chief Minister lays foundation stone of electrical division office
- Announces electrical sub-division for Dehriyan
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today laid the foundation stone of construction of electrical division and sub-division office buildings and augmentation of 33 KV sub-station at Jawalamukhi in Kangra district.
The estimated cost of both the projects is approximately Rs. 4 crore and will benefit more than 35,000 consumers of various categories and Jal Shakti Schemes.
Speaking on this occasion, Sh. Sukhu announced another electrical sub-division at Dehriyan in Jawalmukhi along with provisions of Rs. 10 crore. This will go a long way in reducing voltage fluctuation and providing the consumers of the area with reliable 24x7 power supply. He said that nine 33 KV electrical sub-divisions have already been announced for the area by allocating Rs. 48 crore for which the construction work is under progress in various phases.
The Chief Minister stated that the state government is working under a master plan to develop religious tourism in Jawalamukhi, Chintpurani and Naina Devi. He said that Rs. 150 crore would be spent on beautification of Jwalamukhi and Naina Devi and announced to provide Rs. 25 crore as the first installment in the first phase for beautification of both the areas.
Earlier, the Chief Minister paid obeisance at Jawalamukhi temple and also inspected the beautification works being carried out at different places.
MLA Sanjay Rattan thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating various developmental projects worth crores in his home segment during the present government’s regime.
MLA Kamlesh Thakur, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Ex-Servicemen Corporation Col. Maneesh Kumar and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.

Chief Minister performs inaugurations, lays foundation stones of Rs. 153.81 crore projects
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu performed inaugurations and laid foundation stones of eight development projects worth Rs. 153.81 crore for Fatehpur assembly constituency of Kangra district during his one day tour to the area.
The Chief Minister performed bhumi pujan of Rs. 103.65 crore 800 meter span bridge over river Beas connecting Terrace (Pong Dam Jassur road and Sthana (Bharwain Damtal road) which will facilitate the people of Fatehpur and Jaswan-Pragpur assembly constituencies, Rs.13.60 crore Adarsh Swasthya Sansthan Fatehpur and for parking and other works at the Fatehpur grain market costing Rs. 3.14 crore.
Chief Minister also laid foundation stones of Rs. 9.09 crore Fatehpur to Badiali via Kundial Theru Sunet road etc. under NABARD and Rs. 35 lakh for Shaheed smarak at Fatehpur.
He inaugurated Rs. 12.82 crore combined office building at Fatehpur, Rs. 5.27 crore road Kodi Bela to Paral via Jatt Beli under NABARD and Rs. 5.89 crore Road Palakh to Charuri and Malhari to Duhag under NABARD.
