A case FIR No. 144, U/S 174A IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the orders of Hon’ble Court of Ms. Gurdeep Kaur, JMIC, Distt. Court, Sector-43, Chandigarh against Raman Preet Singh R/o # 1150, Adarsh Colony, Kalka, Panchkula, HR who was declared Proclaimed Offender by Hon’ble Court but he failed to appear before the Hon’ble Court in pursuance of issuance of proclamation. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 145, U/S 174A IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the orders of Hon’ble Court of Ms. Gurdeep Kaur, JMIC, Distt. Court, Sector-43, Chandigarh against Pritam Chand R/o # 3123/23248, Sector-41D, Chandigarh who was declared Proclaimed Offender by Hon’ble Court but he failed to appear before the Hon’ble Court in pursuance of issuance of proclamation. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A case FIR No. 48, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women on the complaint of a lady R/o Chandigarh against her husband R/o Distt. Ropar (Pb) who harassed the complainant on the pretext of demanding more dowry. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 49, U/S 323, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women on the complaint of a lady R/o Chandigarh against her husband R/o Distt. Ropar (Pb) who harassed & quarreled with complainant on the pretext of demanding more dowry. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 50, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women on the complaint of a lady R/o Chandigarh against her husband R/o Pehowa (HR) who harassed the complainant on the pretext of demanding more dowry. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 85, U/S 419, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Cyber Crime, Chandigarh on the complaint of Suraj Kumar R/o # 511, Sector-36B, Chandigarh who reported that he had uploaded his resume for job on LinkedIn site and on 05.06.2023 unknown person called on his mobile phone and cheated total Rs. 1,39,114/- for registration of job between 06-06-2023 and 15-07-2023. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 131, U/S 406, 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sukhdeep Singh R/o Village Chhajoli, Distt. Sangrur, PB who alleged that Mandhir Bajaj, Navjot Singh & a lady R/o Fly Right Visa Consultant, SCO No. 371-373, Sector-34-A, Chandigarh cheated total Rs. 16 lakh to arrange study visa for London, UK between 16.02.2023 to 25.02.2023. Later, alleged person provided him C-Visit VISA instead of study Visa. Investigation of case is in progress.

Snatching

A case FIR No. 56, U/S 379B IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of a boy (Age 17 years) resident of Village Faidan, Nizampur, Chandigarh who reported that two unknown persons on motorcycle snatched away complainant’s mobile phone after pushing him near New Light Society Gate, Sector 51/B, Chandigarh on 17.08.2023. Complainant sustained injuries and got treatment from Civil Hospital, Sector 45, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two proclaimed offenders including one PO involved in case of SC/ST Act pre-arrested and another involved in Excise Act ,in police net.

CHANDIGARH,18.08.23-In a major breakthrough, PO & Summon staff of Chandigarh Police under the directions of SSP U.T. Chandigarh, in the supervision of Sh. Vikas Sheokand, Dy. SP DCC and team headed by Sh. Hari Om Sharma, Inspector/Incharge PO & Summon staff is able to arrest two proclaimed offenders including one PO involved in case of SC/ST Act and another involved in Excise Act.

Arrest of Accused/Proclaimed Offender: - With the help of collection of information from different sources (technical & human) and a day/night search. The absconders /proclaimed offenders have been arrested with secret information of informer and all the sincere efforts made by ASI Davinder Singh 3382/CP, HC Malkit Singh 3590/CP, HC Harjeet Singh 2799/CP, Sr.C. Rakesh Kumar 1308/CP, Sr.C. Vipin Sharma 2345/CP, C Naveen Kumar 4750/CP, Vol Jang Singh 415/CHG. The Master Technical & Monitoring Cell of Chandigarh Police provided continuous assistance to locate the accused and helped the police officials of PO & Summon Staff:

  1. The state case accused namely Sahil Rana S/o Pardeep Kumar R/o Village Teontha, District Kaithal, Haryana has been arrested from the area of Pundri, Kaithal, Haryana, in case FIR No. 47 dated 28.09.2022, U/s SC & ST Act 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s), 3 (1)(w)(ii), 509 IPC and 67 IT Act, PS-Cyber Crime, Chandigarh. The case was registered on the complaint of Mamta Rani W/o Randeep Singh R/o # 2281, Sector-23-C, Chandigarh, who stated that they have property dispute with Pardeep Kumar father of accused Sahil Rana. The accused Sahil Kumar created a fake ID and posted dishonorable words commenting on SC/ST caste on her children at Instagram account. Her children were school going, who got very upset as their friends and teachers were also added with them on Instagram account. Later the case was registered against accused. During the investigation accused was not arrested in the case and he was declared PO by the Hon’ble Court of Sh. Puneet Mohinia, JMIC, Chandigarh vide order dated 07.01.2023. A dedicated team of PO & Summon Staff was chasing the accused for the last two months. Many raids were conducted at his village and suspected hide outs. Finally the accused was arrested from the area of PS Pundri, Haryana. The accused produced before the Hon’ble Court and sent to judicial custody.

The state case accused namely Karnail Singh S/o Chanan Singh R/o VPO Gardha, PS Koon Kalan, District Ludhiana, Punjab has been arrested from Ludhiana in case FIR No. 30 dated 21.02.2021, U/s 61.1.14 Excise Act, PS 36, Chandigarh. The case was registered on the complaint of Vol. Satish Kumar No. 1307/CHG, who stated that on the day of incident he was on duty near Congress Bhawan, Sector-35, Chandigarh. He noticed that there was a very heavy article in the car. He made signal to driver to stop the car but he flew away. Near turn 35 A+B the car engine stopped and driver and his fellow sped away after leaving the car behind. He tried to catch them but could not capture. When he examined the car he found boxes of liquor of Fine Whisky and Fine Rum in huge quantity in the car trunk. He informed in the Police Station in this regard. Later the case was registered against accused. Who later got absent before the Hon’ble court and was declared PO by the Hon’ble Court of Sh. Randeep Kumar, JMIC, Chandigarh vide order dated 01.07.2023. The accused produced before the Hon’ble Court and sent to judicial custody.
