Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam lays foundation stone for development works in Palwal; Reaffirms commitment to holistic growth of district
Chandigarh, April 5 – Haryana Minister of State for Sports, Sh. Gaurav Gautam said that the community centre being developed in the name of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya will serve as an inspiration for the region. He said that the State Government is continuously working for the holistic development of Palwal district.
The Minister was addressing people after laying the foundation stone for the construction of a boundary wall, track and park at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Community Centre complex in village Kushlipur (Ward No. 10), Palwal.
He said that the main hall of the building will be constructed at a cost of approximately Rs. 2.50 crore, while Rs. 1 crore will be spent on the boundary wall, track, park and other beautification works. These facilities will provide better amenities to residents and create a conducive environment for youth to engage in sports activities. He added that the facility will remain open to all sections of society, including all communities, and will serve as a venue for social, cultural and community programmes.
Reiterating the government’s commitment, the Minister said that continuous efforts are being made for the overall development of Palwal district. To promote sports, stadiums, modern tracks and sports nurseries are being established in the district, enabling youth to hone their talent. He added that, for the first time, sports nurseries have been established on a large scale, providing opportunities to rural athletes to progress.
Minister inaugurates water and sewerage project
The Sports Minister also inaugurated a water supply and sewerage line project at Palwal. He said that under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme, sewerage infrastructure across the city will be strengthened at a cost of approximately Rs. 332 crore, while under the Ranney Well project, the rainwater supply network will be enhanced at a cost of about Rs. 522 crore.

Chandigarh, April 5- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini accused the opposition of having no real issues and misleading farmers under the pretext of procurement. He said that the corruption that prevailed during their tenure has now been curtailed, and they are feeling the consequences. He assured the farmers that every grain of their produce will be purchased.
The Chief Minister made these remarks while addressing a ‘Dhanyawad Evam Vikas Rally’ in Meham on Sunday. During the event, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth Rs. 202 crore 77 lakh. Additionally, he announced a grant of Rs. 10 crore for constituency development and promised to review and implement all the demands presented in a memorandum submitted by the rally convener and Rajya Sabha MP, Sh. Ram Chander Jangra
Highlighting Meham’s historical significance, the Chief Minister said, the land of Meham holds a special place on Haryana’s cultural and historical map. It has always been a hub of democratic values, politics, tradition, and social consciousness. Decisions taken on the Meham Chaubisi Chabootara have consistently guided society. It symbolizes collective leadership, brotherhood, justice, and the power of public opinion, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
Development Beyond Political Lines
The Chief Minister emphasized that development is pursued without considering whether a constituency is represented by a ruling party MLA or an opposition MLA. The state government works keeping every section of society in mind. Under the able guidance of the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, our double-engine government follows the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini .
He said that in the past 11.5 years, the government has invested Rs. 1,328 crore in development projects in Meham, compared to Rs. 584 crore during the 10-year Congress regime, a substantial portion of which was lost to corruption.
To accelerate Meham’s development, 121 Chief Minister announcements were made during the BJP’s tenure, of which 105 have been completed, and the remaining are underway. We deliver on our promises. In just one and a half years, 60 of the 217 Sankalps made in the last assembly’s Sankalp Patra have been fulfilled, and work is ongoing for 157 others, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
Opposition Misleading on Gate Passes
Addressing concerns over crop procurement, the Chief Minister said that the opposition is spreading misinformation about gate passes. The government has made arrangements to ensure that no farmer faces any difficulties. Duties for crop procurement have been clearly assigned, he said.
He highlighted that the government has disbursed Rs. 16,160 crore to farmers in 11 years under compensation and the
Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) , compared to just Rs. 1,138 crore during the 10-year Congress regime. A pending compensation of Rs. 269 crore from Congress time was released by the BJP government after assuming office in 2014. The Congress spent the last 10 years only lying to garner votes. The interests of farmers are central to our policies, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said.
Addressing Public Concerns Amid Global Crisis
The Chief Minister expressed regret over the opposition exploiting global crises for cheap political gains. They are creating confusion through false statements. However, under Prime Under the Prime Minister’ s leadership, the Central Government follows a ‘Nation First’ approach, standing with Indians during every crisis. I thank the Prime Minister for reducing excise duty on petroleum products, providing relief to the public, he added.
He assured that there is no shortage of petrol, diesel, or gas in Haryana, with adequate stock available across 4,032 petrol pumps and LPG agencies. Strict action has been initiated against black marketing, including FIR registrations against those found guilty, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
Jobs and Education Initiatives
The Chief Minister informed that 36,000 youth were given government jobs on merit basis, contributing to a total of 180,000 jobs in 11.5 years. In Rohtak district alone, over 10,000 youth have secured government employment.
He highlighted recent infrastructure work in Meham including construction of school buildings in Kharak Jatan, Nidana, Bahalba, Ajaib, and Bahu-Akbarpur at a cost of Rs. 14.36 crore. Furthermore, a sub-miner was repaired in village Mokhra at Rs. 13.65 crore. Under the Mahagram Yojana, water supply enhancement in Nidana was undertaken at Rs. 12.79 crore and a sewage treatment plant was built at Rs. 28 crore, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
Key Development Steps and Social Welfare
The Chief Minister outlined major initiatives in the 2026-27 budget, including urban development and women’s safety measures, such as seven new women police stations in Meham, Loharu, Barwala, Narwana, Samalkha, Radaur, and Pehowa. New dialysis centers in 18 locations and 21 sports stadiums across multiple districts are planned. These include Rohtak, Jind, Kaithal, Jhajjar, Charkhi Dadri, Gurugram, Kurukshetra, Faridabad, Yamunanagar, Sonipat, Fatehabad, and Palwal.
Furthermore, Stubble-based biomass power projects totaling 200 MW will be set up in 13 districts, including Rohtak, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
The Chief Minister said that the policy is being extended to urban areas to grant legal ownership rights to residential occupants on municipal land. The Deendayal Lado Laxmi Yojana has provided financial assistance of Rs. 2,100 to over 956,000 women and girls, totaling Rs. 834 crore. Poor women are receiving LPG cylinders at Rs. 500 per month, benefiting 1,438,000 women with Rs. 243 crore deposited into their bank accounts.
In previous governments, neither plot documents nor possession were provided
The Chief Minister said that the government has provided 1,60,000 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to ensure housing for the poor. Similarly, under the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana (Urban), 18,470 plots and flats have been allotted to poor families in urban areas. However, during the tenure of opposition governments, neither documents were given nor possession was handed over, only votes were sought, he said.
Inclusive Development Across Haryana
Development and Panchayat Minister, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar said that the Chief Minister ensures development across all 90 assembly constituencies, regardless of whether the MLA is from the ruling party or the opposition. Congress misled the public for decades, but today, the interests of Haryana are safeguarded under Prime Minister’s strong leadership, he said.
Meanwhile, earlier, Tourism Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma said that Meham had lagged in development, but the BJP government had taken charge. Development work is being carried out rapidly, and schemes under the Prime Minister’s vision are benefiting all sections of society.
Rajya Sabha MP, Sh. Ram Chander Jangra, who was the convenor of the rally, reiterated that the government works keeping every segment of society in mind and expressed confidence that the Chief Minister will address the public’s demands.

Chief Minister Inaugurates and Lays Foundation Stones of Development Projects Worth Rs. 202.77 crore in Meham
Chandigarh, April 5 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of development projects worth Rs. 202.77 crore during the Dhanyawad Evam Vikas Rally held in Meham, Rohtak district.
The Chief Minister inaugurated two projects worth Rs. 231.25 lakh. He also laid the foundation stone for projects worth Rs. 118.84 crore of the Irrigation Department and Rs. 80 crore 88 lakh 14 thousand for projects of the Public Health Department. He also laid the foundation stone for a new school building to be constructed in the village Sundarpur at a cost of Rs. 74.04 lakh.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said the state government is committed to the welfare of every section of society, and these projects will provide improved living conditions and essential amenities to the people of Meham.
The projects inaugurated by the Chief Minister include the renovation of the Town Park at a cost of Rs 155.14 lakh and the construction of the Saini Community Centre in Ward-2 of Meham at a cost of Rs 76.11 lakh.
The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for the remodelling of the Bhiwani Sub-Branch constuctred at a cost of Rs 8947 lakh by the Irrigation and Water Resources Department, and several projects for flood control and protection in Meham. These include the construction of a retaining wall on the Meham drain at a cost of Rs. 496 lakh, underground pipelines (Bhaini Surjan, Bhaini Chandrapal, Samain) at a cost of Rs. 1238 lakh, the Bhaini Mato to Jui feeder pipeline at a cost of Rs. 267 lakh, the Bahalba link drain pipeline at a cost of Rs. 106 lakh, the Samain to Jui feeder pipeline at a cost of Rs. 237 lakh, the Mokhra Khedi RCC protection wall at a cost of Rs. 319 lakh, the Samain solar submersible pump at a cost of Rs. 139 lakh, and the Farmana Khas to Karsol minor pipeline at a cost of Rs. 135 lakh.
The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for the strengthening of a pumping station in Meham town. This project will cost Rs. 8088.14 lakh. To improve the education sector, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the construction of the GPS Sundarpur school building. This school building will cost Rs 74.04 lakh.

Development Push for Jind Assembly, CM makes several key announcements

Chandigarh, April 5- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday announced a series of development projects and infrastructure upgrades for the Jind Assembly Constituency, asserting that no stone will be left unturned for Jind’s Development.
While addressing the ‘Dhanyawad Evam Vikas Rally’ in the district, the Chief Minister announced additional financial assistance of Rs 5 crore for the development of rural areas in the constituency, along with multiple projects aimed at strengthening healthcare, education, transport, roads and basic civic infrastructure.
Among key announcements, the Chief Minister said a divider will be constructed on the Civil Hospital–Pandu Pindara–Gohana Road at a cost of Rs 4.5 crore. He also announced the development of a model road from Thandi Halwai shop via Ramrai Gate and Jhanj Gate up to Rupiya Chowk. He further announced that an auditorium along with parking facilities will be constructed at Rani Talab, for which Rs 60 crore has been allocated.
The Chief Minister also announced shifting the fire station office to the site of the old bus stand and developing the Palika Bazaar into a smart market. Modern poles and street lighting will be installed across city roads, and a community centre will be constructed on the land of the old bus stand once the concerned departments are relocated as per norms.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini announced that the meat market will be shifted outside the city at a cost of Rs 5 crore. He also announced the development of a park in Ward No. 30, subject to land availability, the construction of a veterinary hospital in Julani, and a new building for the veterinary hospital in Amrahedi.
He announced that Haibatpur village will be covered under the Mhara Gaon Jagmag Gaon Yojana. Electricity lines from Shiv Chowk via Punjabi Bazaar to the City Police Station area will be laid underground at a cost of Rs 5 crore, and electricity lines in the agricultural fields of Julani village will be repaired. A paramedical college will be constructed on the vacant land in the General Hospital premises, he announced.
The Chief Minister announced the construction of a sub-health centre in the village of Ahirka and the reconstruction of the mortuary at the Civil Hospital in Jind. An arts block will be constructed in the Government College. He announced that an HSVP office building will be constructed on Safidon Road at a cost of Rs 5 crore. He also said that social organisations such as Om Shanti, Brahmin and Dhanak will be allotted plots in HSVP sectors as per rules upon receiving applications. He further announced the construction of a bridge on the Hansi branch canal and the reconstruction from RD 1650 to RD 17900 tail.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini further announced the reconstruction of the canal colony at a cost of Rs 10 crore. A bridge will be constructed for farm access roads in Kheri Taloda village, and a pond will be renovated in Ikkas village. He also announced the restoration of Vansh Mulk Teerth in Barsola village and the beautification of Pandu Pindara Teerth at a cost of Rs 2 crore.
The Chief Minister said a letter will be written to the NHAI for the construction of the Jind Ring Road. Sewerage lines and a 10 MLD STP plant will be installed in the newly approved colonies. He announced that to improve the drinking water supply, five new tubewells will be installed at various locations in Jind city. New pipelines will also be laid to provide canal water in Kairkhedi and Ahirka villages.
The Chief Minister announced that six roads of the Marketing Board with a cumulative length of 15.85 km will be widened at a cost of Rs 5.35 crore. The stretch from Devi Lal Chowk to Rohtak Road bypass will be developed into a four-lane road. He announced that road widening will also be carried out from Dalmwala Hotel to the HSVP Western Yamuna Canal road, and from Paradise Hotel via Somnath Temple to the Western Yamuna Canal road.
The Chief Minister said that work on setting up an IMT in Jind will be taken up once land becomes available on the e-Bhoomi portal. He further announced that 25 roads of the Marketing Board with a cumulative length of 67.42 km d will be repaired under the Defect Liability Period (DLP). Additionally, Rs 4.63 crore will be spent on repairing eight roads covering 20.68 km.
He said that 25 roads of the PWD with a cumulative length of 70.13 km, currently under DLP, will also be repaired through the concerned agencies. Special repair work will be carried out on five roads covering 18.30 km at a cost of Rs 11 crore. Under the Khet-Khalihan Yojana, kutcha farm roads extending up to 25 km in various villages will be paved, announced the Chief Minister.

Chandigarh, April 5- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday accused the opposition of taking votes and exploiting people, alleging long neglect of Jind, as he addressed the ‘Dhanyawad Evam Vikas Rally’ and inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of development projects worth Rs 253 crore.
The rally, organised under the convenorship of Deputy Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Dr. Krishan Lal Middha, witnessed a large turnout.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister described Jind as the heartbeat of Haryana and said the region reflects the hard work of farmers whose efforts fill the nation’s food granaries. He extended greetings to farmers, women, youth and elders for their participation, calling the gathering a reflection of strong public trust.
Dynasty politics ignored your future
The Chief Minister said previous governments remained entrenched in dynasty-driven politics and failed to prioritise the aspirations of the common man. They secured the future of their own families, but ignored yours. We have worked to return what rightfully belongs to this region, with interest, he said.
Calling the BJP’s third consecutive term a major responsibility, he said the mandate reflects people’s expectations for performance. He said that out of 217 Sankalps made in the Sankalp Patra, 60 have already been fulfilled within one-and-a-half years, while work on 157 others is underway.
Viksit Bharat is a people’s mission
Referring to the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, the Chief Minister said, this is not merely a slogan but a national mission that requires participation from every citizen. He added that the government’s “Nation First” approach has been evident in times of crisis, from the Covid pandemic to global economic challenges.
Despite rising international oil prices, he said, the Centre reduced excise duty to provide relief, while the Haryana government ensured the availability of fuel and LPG and took strict action against black marketing.
Rs 2,217 crore spent in Jind
Highlighting development achievements, the Chief Minister said Rs. 2,217 crore 61 lakh has been spent on development works in Jind over the past 11 and a half years, compared to Rs. 380 crore 97 lakh during the previous Congress government’s tenure.
On employment, he said 36,000 youth were given government jobs in the past year on a merit basis, taking the total to 1.8 lakh jobs over 11.5 years. Around 15,000 youth are from Jind district, while recruitment for 13,500 posts is currently underway.
Infrastructure push gains momentum
Detailing key projects, the Chief Minister said a new bus stand near Pandu Pindara was constructed at a cost of Rs 32.21 crore, while Rs 32.86 crore was spent on drinking water and sewerage facilities in older colonies. A 200-bed expansion of the civil hospital was completed at Rs 16 crore, and an RUB on the Jind-Panipat railway line was built at Rs 18.95 crore.
Other works include a 10 MLD sewage treatment plant at a cost of Rs 13.82 crore, a bypass road at a cost of Rs 12.05 crore, a 132 KV substation at a cost of Rs 12.39 crore, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Hostel at Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University at a cost of Rs 11.75 crore, and a gymkhana club at a cost of Rs 5.85 crore.
IMT, housing and welfare initiatives
The Chief Minister announced that one of the 10 new Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) planned in Haryana will be established in Jind, with land to be arranged through the e-Bhoomi portal. Under the ‘Mukhyamantri Shehri Awas Yojana’, over 15,000 plots of 30 square yards will be allotted across 16 cities. He also highlighted welfare measures, including financial assistance, and the ‘Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana’ has been launched to provide economic and social security to women and girls. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs. 2,100 is provided. So far, Rs. 834 crore has been disbursed to over 9.56 lakh women.
Farmers at the centre of policy
Emphasising the government’s farmer-centric approach, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said all crops are being procured at Minimum Support Price, with Rs 1.64 lakh crore transferred directly into the accounts of 12 lakh farmers. He added that Rs 16,160 crore has been disbursed over the past 11.5 years as compensation and insurance under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana’. During the 10-year rule of the Congress government, compensation of Rs. 1,138 crore was released.
The Chief Minister said that the government has provided relief to farmers for losses to horticultural crops due to natural disasters. For this purpose, 46 horticultural crops have been included in the 'Mukhyamantri Bagwani Bima Yojana ' (MBBY), and so far, Rs. 1 crore 40 lakh 21 thousand has been given to 157 farmers.
He said that under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi’, Rs. 7,562 crore has been transferred to over 20 lakh farmers. He said that the colonial-era abiana tax has been abolished.
Cabinet Ministers back government’s development push
Speaking at the rally, Development and Panchayats Minister, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar said that coordinated efforts of the Centre and the state have accelerated development, ensuring faster completion of projects. He said that the vision of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar is being realised through inclusive governance.
Echoing the same, Social Justice, Empowerment,SCs & BCs Welfare and Antyodaya(SEWA, Minister, Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi said the government has delivered tangible results across sectors such as roads, irrigation, education and healthcare, and urged people to support the momentum of development.
BJP state president, Sh. Mohan Lal Kaushik said the government has prioritised employment generation, welfare schemes for women and farmers, and grassroots development. He said that the Jind rally marked the Chief Minister’s 30th public meeting.

Earlier, addressing the Deputy Speaker of Haryana Vidhan Sabha and rally convenor, Dr. Krishan Lal Middha, praised the state government’s transformative work in the constituency. He said, Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini is delivering development with every community in mind, and his work has positively impacted all sections of society.
Dr. Krishan Lal Middha highlighted that Jind, once counted among Haryana’s underdeveloped districts, is now experiencing rapid growth. Roads were broken, civic amenities were scarce, and residents struggled for basic facilities in the past. But under the present government’s tenure, the landscape and destiny of Jind have changed dramatically, he said.
He said that the 19-storey medical college building in Jind is now complete, promising better healthcare services for residents in the future. Other landmark initiatives include the establishment of a law college at CRS University and the project to bring Bhakra canal water to the region, projects implemented by the present government.
Dr. Krishan Lal Middha also highlighted the improved connectivity, stating that nine national highways now pass through Jind, and India’s first hydrogen train is expected to run from Jind to Sonipat soon.
Praising the Chief Minister’s administration, Dr. Krishan Middha said that the government has accomplished work that once seemed possible only in dreams. From highway construction and expansion of new schemes to taking the state’s development to new heights, historic achievements have been recorded in every sector, he said. He said that Haryana is moving rapidly on the path of development, and Jind, too, continues to touch new milestones of progress under this vision.

Farmers will not be allowed to face any difficulties in selling their crops in grain markets - Krishan Kumar Bedi
Chandigarh, April 5 - Haryana Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi said that the interests of farmers are paramount for the state government. Farmers will not be allowed to face any difficulties during the current Rabi season.
The Minister said this while interacting with the mediapersons after listening to public grievances at the PWD Rest House in Narwana on late Saturday evening.
The Minister said that the state government has made complete preparations in the grain markets for the wheat procurement season. He assured that no farmer, trader, or porter will face any difficulties and that the entire process will run smoothly.
Regarding the approval of the Electricity Department subdivision in Dhamtan Sahib, the Cabinet Minister said that this demand was raised during the Chief Minister's visit to Narwana, and he immediately accepted it. He added that the people of the Dhamtan Sahib area previously had to travel to Narwana and Garhi, which caused significant inconvenience. Now, with the SDO sitting there, problems can be resolved at the local level.
He said that strict action will be taken against those who black-market domestic gas. Due to the administration's strictness, the gas distribution system has now become streamlined, and home delivery of gas has been initiated even in villages.

CM unveils Rs 253 crore projects in Jind, major fillip for irrigation, roads, health and water supply
Chandigarh, April 5- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday unveiled development projects worth Rs. 253 crore at a ‘Dhanyawad Evam Vikas Rally’ in Jind, signalling a major push to infrastructure and public services in the district.
The Chief Minister laid the foundation stones of 12 projects worth Rs. 140 crore 87 lakh 8 thousand and inaugurated three projects with a combined cost of Rs. 112 crore 14 lakh 10 thousand.
Among the key inaugurations is the reconstruction of Jind Distributary No. 4, completed by the Irrigation and Water Resources Department at a cost of Rs. 16 crore 28 lakh 30 thousand. Also inaugurated were modern micro-irrigation systems at the village level, solar-powered irrigation facilities, and a balancing reservoir for water storage in Intal Khurd village, developed at a cost of Rs. 39 crore 49 lakh 80 thousand.
The Chief Minister also dedicated the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Library building at Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, built at a cost of Rs. 56 crore 36 lakh. Furthermore, stepping up infrastructure push, the Chief Minister on Sunday laid the foundation stone of projects spanning agriculture marketing, housing, roads, health, drainage and water supply, including a purchase centre at Manoharpur village by the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board at a cost of Rs 3 crore 18 lakh 81 thousand, 56 residential units for revenue officers in Officers’ Colony to be constructed by the Public Works Department (B&R) at Rs 16 crore 61 lakh 4 thousand, special repair of the Dalamwala–Jeevanpur–Nagura and Dariyawala–Barsola road, and widening and strengthening of the bypass connecting the Jind–Hansi and Jind–Bhiwani roads (RD 5.375 to 5.567, road ID 10121).
The Chief Minister also laid the foundation for widening and strengthening of the Nirjan approach road, and the Kandela route via Safidon—covering Haibatpur, Khokhri, Bohatwala and Dalamwala villages—from Parshuram Chowk to the bypass. These works will be undertaken at a cost of Rs. 4 crore 56 lakh 90 thousand.
Under the CRIF scheme, foundation stones were laid for the four-laning, widening and strengthening of the Panipat–Safidon (State Highway-11) and Safidon–Jind (State Highway-14) corridors, involving an expenditure of Rs. 56 crore 61 lakh 4 thousand.
Further, the Chief Minister initiated the construction of an Integrated Sainik Sadan by the District Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Department at a cost of Rs. 9 crore 98 lakh 40 thousand. In the health sector, a Community Health Centre will be set up at Kandela village at a cost of Rs. 9 crore 90 lakh 83 thousand.
To improve drainage infrastructure, the Manoharpur drain excavation project has also been taken up by the Irrigation and Water Resources Department at a cost of Rs. 1 crore 9 lakh 19 thousand.
The Chief Minister also laid the foundation for Public Health Engineering Department projects worth Rs. 35 crore 76 lakh 25 thousand. These include three canal-based water supply schemes in Jalalpura Kalan, Intal Kalan and Intal Khurd villages, along with the expansion of two existing schemes. Under these works, water supply will be provided to Sangatpura, Jajwan and Dhanda Kheri villages through a common pumping station and the laying of DI pipelines.

Health Minister Arti Rao unveils statue of martyr Kailash Chand in village Bhandor, Rewari
Chandigarh, April 5 - Haryana Health Minister Ms. Arti Singh Rao unveiled the statue of martyr Kailash Chand in village Bhandor of Rewari district.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister said that martyrs do not belong to just one family or village but are the pride of the entire nation. Remembering martyr Kailash Chand, she informed that he attained martyrdom in 1993 during an encounter with Maoists while on election duty in Chhattisgarh, and said his sacrifice will continue to inspire generations.
The Minister also encouraged the martyr’s wife, Bhateri Devi, and her family, assuring them that the government stands firmly with them at every step. She further assured that the demands put forward by the villagers would be addressed on a priority basis.
Ms. Arti Singh Rao said that 50 MBBS seats have been approved at the under-construction AIIMS in village Majra, Rewari. OPD services will soon be operational at the AIIMS. She would visit the institute shortly to review the arrangements, she added.
She also said that healthcare services across Haryana are being strengthened, with modern equipment being provided in government hospitals.

CM unveils Rs 253 crore projects in Jind, major fillip for irrigation, roads, health and water supply
Chandigarh, April 5- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday unveiled development projects worth Rs. 253 crore at a ‘Dhanyawad Evam Vikas Rally’ in Jind, signalling a major push to infrastructure and public services in the district.
The Chief Minister laid the foundation stones of 12 projects worth Rs. 140 crore 87 lakh 8 thousand and inaugurated three projects with a combined cost of Rs. 112 crore 14 lakh 10 thousand.
Among the key inaugurations is the reconstruction of Jind Distributary No. 4, completed by the Irrigation and Water Resources Department at a cost of Rs. 16 crore 28 lakh 30 thousand. Also inaugurated were modern micro-irrigation systems at the village level, solar-powered irrigation facilities, and a balancing reservoir for water storage in Intal Khurd village, developed at a cost of Rs. 39 crore 49 lakh 80 thousand.
The Chief Minister also dedicated the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Library building at Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, built at a cost of Rs. 56 crore 36 lakh.
