In the case of the death of 2 firefighters in Faridabad, the families will receive financial assistance and jobs- Chief Minister
Chandigarh, April 10- In a major step towards strengthening social welfare delivery and ensuring last-mile financial inclusion, the Chief Minister of Haryana on Friday disbursed a total amount of Rs. 1,665.25 crore directly into the bank accounts of beneficiaries under 18 different government schemes.
Addressing the media during a press conference, the Chief Minister said that in line with the vision of Prime Minister, Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi was also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said that today the sixth installment under the ‘Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi’ scheme has been released. An amount of Rs. 203.28 crore has been transferred to 9.68 lakh women beneficiaries. Financial aid and jobs for families of two firefighters who died in Faridabad

*CM to Launch Automated Revenue System Next Month as Haryana Unleashes Major Reforms Drive with 1,900 Patwaris, Strict Deadlines and Digital Push*
Chandigarh, April 10 – Haryana is set to launch an automated revenue administration system next month, marking a significant leap toward paperless, citizen-centric governance, under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini. Spearheading the reform drive, Financial Commissioner Revenue & Disaster Management, Dr. Sumita Misra, on Friday chaired a high-level review meeting with Divisional Commissioners & Deputy Commissioners setting the tone for a comprehensive transformation of the state's revenue administration with urgency, accountability and technology at its core.
Dr. Misra directed that nearly 1,900 freshly trained, tech-savvy patwaris be deployed across districts at the earliest, making clear that these digitally skilled officers will serve as the backbone of the new revenue ecosystem complementing the state's technology infrastructure and giving decisive thrust to the automation drive. She issued firm directions to DCs to immediately clear all cases pending beyond prescribed timelines, with zero tolerance for pendency exceeding five days. Districts have been tasked to eliminate backlogs on a priority basis through continuous monitoring and strict accountability at every level.
On the ground, the 1,900 tech-enabled patwaris will cater critical responsibilities that go to the heart of land governance from Aadhaar integration of land records and updating Lal Dora maps, to accurate land demarcation through rovers, verification of digital data under AgriStack, and speedy resolution of possession-related Khana Kasht cases. Their induction is expected to significantly ease workload pressure, sharpen field-level efficiency.
Dr. Misra directed that pending mutation cases must be cleared close to zero within a fixed timeframe in order to launch auto-mutation in its full spirit. Districts have been told to fast-track approvals at both entry and post-sanction stages without compromising accuracy. On demarcation, rover-based technology is being deployed to close all pending online cases within strict timelines.
The review reflected strong gains in digital governance. The paperless registration system has processed over 3.23 lakh applications, with nearly 84 per cent already approved pointing to faster procedures and reduced human intervention. On land records, around 85 per cent of geo-referenced villages are now on the Bhu-Naksha portal, improving the accuracy and accessibility of land data across the state.
Progress on agricultural digitalisation is equally encouraging. Work on the AgriStack Farmer Registry is advancing steadily with progress, while the Digital Crop Survey has crossed 54 percent completion, strengthening data-driven agricultural planning at scale. Jamabandi update has reached approximately 86 per cent, with remaining cases being fast-tracked for early disposal.
Special emphasis was laid on Khana Kasht cases, where delays have been flagged at multiple levels. Dr. Misra directed that such cases be handled with utmost diligence following standard procedures and ensuring timely resolution under the close supervision of Divisional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner. Khana Kasht is a key column in land records, that specifically records the particulars of the cultivator of the land.
The upcoming automation system is set to mark a defining new chapter in Haryana's revenue administration integrating mutation, registration and record management on a single, unified digital platform. Citizens will be able to upload documents online, access records digitally and receive faster approvals, dramatically reducing the need for physical visits and cutting through layers of delay.
A key highlight of the review was the progress under the Yuva Aapda Mitra Scheme, which is strengthening disaster preparedness at the grassroots level. Over 5,000 youth volunteers are being trained and equipped with Emergency Responder Kits (ERKs) and insurance coverage. Training has been completed in Sonipat and Kurukshetra, while expansion is underway in Gurugram, Faridabad, Nuh, Rewari, Yamunanagar and Panchkula. Districts have been directed to ensure kit distribution and proper documentation in planned programmes which also motivate volunteers.

Haryana Scales Up POSHAN Drive, Targets Near-Elimination of Malnutrition
Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi Reviews POSHAN Abhiyaan Progress
Chandigarh, April 10 - Haryana has significantly stepped up its nutrition mission for 2026–27 with enhanced financial backing and expanded coverage under POSHAN Abhiyaan, aiming for near-elimination of severe malnutrition while ensuring daily nutritional support to lakhs of beneficiaries. The strengthened Mukhyamantri Dudh Uphaar Yojana, backed by a ₹170 crore outlay, is set to further boost the state’s nutrition efforts.
Chairing the 7th Meeting of the State Convergence Committee, Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi underscored the importance of stronger interdepartmental convergence, data-driven monitoring, and last-mile delivery to achieve sustained improvements in maternal and child health.
The 2026–27 roadmap lays clear emphasis on increasing growth monitoring coverage to 99 percent, reducing severe malnutrition to negligible levels, and strengthening supplementary nutrition services. Focus areas include promotion of exclusive breastfeeding, improved complementary feeding practices, and targeted management of acute malnutrition.
To tackle anaemia, the state will intensify iron and folic acid supplementation among children, adolescent girls, and women. Health interventions will also prioritize universal diarrhoea management through ORS and zinc, along with expanded immunization, deworming, and Vitamin A coverage to ensure comprehensive child healthcare.
At the grassroots level, convergence across departments will be strengthened through ICDS, health systems, self-help groups, and Panchayati Raj Institutions. Community-driven initiatives promoting iron-rich diets, local nutritious foods, and wellness practices will be scaled up, alongside focused care for low birth weight infants.
Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi directed officials to actively involve local panchayats in implementing these initiatives and to conduct awareness campaigns during Gram Sabha meetings. He also emphasized the need to engage women panches and sarpanches as key change agents to improve community participation, ensure better outreach, and drive behavioural change at the village level.
The Chief Secretary also directed that convergence with the AYUSH Department be undertaken for development of Poshan Vatikas to promote cultivation of medicinal plants, and for organizing a monthly Yoga Day at Anganwadi Centres to support wellness. The Horticulture Department has also been directed to promote cultivation of fruits and seasonal vegetables to strengthen nutrition improvement efforts.
The meeting also reviewed notable achievements during 2025–26. Nearly 9.92 lakh beneficiaries were screened across the state, while growth monitoring coverage crossed 99 percent. A steady decline in severe malnutrition indicators reflects the impact of sustained and targeted interventions.
Commissioner & Secretary, Women & Child Development Department, Sh. Shekhar Vidyarthi informed that infrastructure upgrades have further improved service delivery, with around 15,900 Anganwadi Centres electrified. All districts ensured supply of fortified oil and double fortified salt, while large-scale community outreach through Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Days strengthened awareness and participation.
The programme currently covers around 9.46 lakh children and 2.56 lakh pregnant and lactating women with daily nutritional support, supplemented by diversified food items under state schemes.
With robust digital monitoring and face recognition systems through the Poshan Tracker and a strong push for transparency and accountability, Haryana is positioning itself as a leading state in the fight against malnutrition, moving steadily towards a healthier and well-nourished future.
Director, Women & Child Development, Dr. Priyanka Soni, Director, Elementary Education, Manita Malik, and other senior officers were present in the meeting.

CM hits out at Congress for misleading farmers on procurement
Government will procure every grain; strong mandi arrangements in place, says CM
Chandigarh, April 10- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Friday slammed the Congress and other opposition parties for misleading farmers over crop procurement, asserting that the present government has put in place comprehensive and robust arrangements to ensure a smooth, transparent, and hassle-free procurement process across all mandis.
Addressing a press conference here, the Chief Minister said nodal officers have been appointed in every mandi, Additional Chief Secretary-level officers have been assigned district-wise responsibilities, and Ministers, MLAs and senior officers are continuously monitoring the situation on the ground to ensure that farmers do not face any inconvenience. Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi was also present on the occasion.
Taking a dig at the previous Congress government led by Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, the Chief Minister, said that during its 10-year rule, governance took a backseat and farmers were left to suffer. He alleged that farmers had to wait 3 to 7 days outside mandis to sell their produce, faced shortage of gunny bags, and their crops were often damaged due to rain, forcing them to arrange tarpaulins at their own expense.
He further said that Congress should clarify how many warehouses were constructed during its tenure to safeguard crops. Procurement deductions, delayed payments and even token compensation of Rs. 2 reflected the insensitivity of the previous regime towards farmers, he said.
Asserting the commitment of the present government, the Chief Minister said, We will procure every single grain produced by our farmers. Congress policies were not aimed at public welfare but served limited interests, adding that the party has now lost touch with ground realities, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
Highlighting the Centre’s efforts, he said Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has worked with a clear focus on the welfare of the poor, ensuring that government schemes reach every village and every household, including those who cannot access government offices.
Mustard and wheat procurement progressing smoothly
The Chief Minister said that mustard procurement has been ongoing in the state since March 28. So far, 16,046 metric tonnes of mustard have arrived in mandis, out of which 3,421 metric tonnes have been procured by government agencies, while the remaining has been purchased by private traders. A total of 1,558 metric tonnes has been lifted from mandis.
He said that payments amounting to Rs. 4.94 crore have been transferred directly into farmers’ bank accounts through DBT at the Minimum Support Price of Rs. 6,200 per quintal.
Similarly, wheat procurement, which began on April 1, has recorded arrivals of 17.37 lakh metric tonnes, out of which 3.92 lakh metric tonnes have been procured so far. He said that lifting operations will gain pace after the rains subside. Payments amounting to Rs. 13.09 crore have been released to farmers through DBT at the MSP of Rs. 2,585 per quintal.
Swift action on crop damage; portal opened for affected farmers
Referring to crop damage due to rains on April 6, 7 and 8, the Chief Minister said reports were received from parts of Fatehabad, Hisar, Sirsa and Kurukshetra districts. He said he has personally spoken to the Deputy Commissioners concerned to assess the situation.
He informed that a portal has been opened for Hisar, Sirsa and Fatehabad districts to register crop loss claims, and similar action will be taken for other affected areas.
So far, 1,350 farmers have registered crop damage covering 10,088 acres on the portal, including 9 villages in Fatehabad, 10 in Hisar and 2 in Sirsa.
Minimum wages increased by around 35 percent
The Chief Minister said that minimum wages in the state have been revised with effect from April 8. The monthly wages of unskilled workers have been increased from Rs. 11,275 to Rs. 15,220, semi-skilled workers from Rs. 12,430 to Rs. 16,780, skilled workers from Rs. 13,704 to Rs. 18,500, and highly skilled workers from Rs. 14,389 to Rs. 19,425—reflecting an increase of about 35 percent.
Zero tolerance on accountability; bank case handed to CBI
Responding to a question, the Chief Minister said the government is working on a zero-tolerance policy and remains accountable to the public. He said a bank-related matter is under investigation and has been handed over to the CBI, adding that the entire amount involved has already been recovered along with interest.
Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, Director General, Agriculture Department, Sh. Raj Narayan Kaushik, Director, Women and Child Development Department, Dr. Priyanka Soni, CEO, Haryana Parivar Suraksha Nyas, Dr. Jainder Singh Chhilar, Additional Director (Admn), Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Smt. Approximately Rs. 1,993 crore will be spent on constructing this channel, which will be about 70 kilometres long. The project will involve laying a fully underground pipeline, which will also help eliminate the problem of water theft.
He further stated that the capacity of this supply channel should be increased to 1,000 cusecs so that a larger population can benefit from it over a longer period. Officials informed the Chief Minister that Gurugram will also receive 500 cusecs of water from the NCR Canal. In this way, Gurugram is expected to receive a total supply of 1,500 cusecs of water in the coming years. Additionally, a separate provision of 389 cusecs of drinking water will be made for the Mewat region.
The Chief Minister directed that the project be executed in a transparent manner and adhere to high quality standards, adding that no negligence will be tolerated. He described the project as a major and impactful initiative for the people of Gurugram and emphasized that it should be developed to global standards so that it delivers long-term benefits to the public.
Ensuring uninterrupted supply of clean drinking water to the entire population of Gurugram is the government’s responsibility
The Chief Minister said that the target has been set to complete this drinking water supply project within two and a half years. He directed officers to ensure continuous monitoring and to complete the project approximately three months ahead of schedule. Noting that Gurugram’s population is steadily increasing and the city has now grown into a megacity, he said it is the responsibility of the Haryana Government to ensure uninterrupted access to clean drinking water for all residents.
He also suggested incorporating solar panels along the underground pipeline to facilitate power generation through solar energy. Additionally, land should be identified for setting up water treatment plants to ensure proper distribution of water supplied through the Gurugram Water Supply Channel, so that work on these facilities can commence at the earliest.
