CM visited Gandhinagar to express condolences to the bereaved family
Chandigarh, June 19 — Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini visited Gandhinagar, Gujarat, on Thursday to express deep sorrow over the sudden demise of former Chief Minister Sh. Vijay Rupani and offered condolences to the bereaved family.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that Sh. Vijay Rupani had a long political journey. He led a life of simplicity and was always dedicated to public service. We were in regular contact and used to meet often. His death is not only a great loss to his family but also a deep shock to the people of Gujarat and the entire nation, he said.
The Chief Minister prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and a place at His divine feet, he said.
The Chief Minister said that the recent plane crash in Ahmedabad was an extremely unfortunate incident, one beyond imagination. He paid tributes to all the deceased in this tragic event and prayed that God may give strength to the bereaved families and grant peace to the departed souls.
On this occasion, Haryana BJP State President, Sh. Mohan Lal Kaushik was also present.

A. Sreenivas appointed Chief Electoral Officer of Haryana

Large-scale plantation drive on both sides of KMP expressway before monsoon – Rao Narbir Singh
HSIIDC to prepare detailed action plan; statewise mass plantation campaign on July 15
Chandigarh, June 19 – Haryana Environment, Forests, and Wildlife, Minister, Rao Narbir Singh has directed that the plantation work along both sides of the Kundli–Manesar–Palwal (KMP) Expressway should be expedited before the onset of the monsoon. He directed the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) to prepare and present a concrete action plan. He said that the saplings will be provided by the Forest Department, but their care, protection, and maintenance will be the full responsibility of HSIIDC. The Forest Department will not hold ownership rights over these plantations.
Rao Narbir Singh was presiding over a coordination meeting of various departments regarding the upcoming Van Mahotsav. He directed the officers to do large scale plantations across the state this monsoon.
Statewide mass plantation drive on July 15
It was informed during the meeting that a mass plantation campaign will be conducted across Haryana on July 15. The campaign will run in public spaces, near ponds and riverbanks, and on panchayat lands. The support of NGOs, social organisations, and industrial groups will be sought. In urban areas, the responsibility of greening major intersections will be given to industries, and each site will display the plaque of the contributing company.
KMP plantation in two phases
Rao Narbir Singh said that the plantation along the KMP Expressway will be done in two phases—first from Kundli to Manesar, and second from Manesar to Palwal. He directed officers to submit a detailed action plan by June 26, 2025. In southern Haryana, efforts will be made to promote native species like khejri, rohida, jaal, and ronjh by offering support to farmers under specific schemes, he added.
Haryana forest development corporation to support national projects
During the meeting it was informed that NHAI and the Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) had assigned the work of the plantation to the Haryana Forest Development Corporation. A proposal has been made to plant three rows of different species along the elevated structures of KMP that are 12–13 feet high.
Secretary and Commissioner, Industries and Commerce Department Dr. Amit Agrawal, Chairman, Haryana Pollution Control Board, Sh. Vineet Garg, Managing Director, HSIIDC, Sh. Yash Garg and other senior officers of Forest, Irrigation and Water Resources departments also remained present during the meeting.

Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi reviews preparations for CET
Chandigarh, June 19 – Haryana Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi today held a high-level meeting with all Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police of the state to review the preparations for the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for recruitment to Group-C posts, expected to be held next month.
The Chief Secretary emphasised the need to ensure that the examination is conducted in a free, fair, smooth and transparent manner. During the meeting, it was informed that around 13,48,697 applications have been received for the CET.
In view of the large number of applicants and the scale of the examination, the HSSC has proposed to hold the examination over a span of two to three days. The Chief Secretary directed all Deputy Commissioners to begin the process of identifying suitable examination centres in their respective districts within the next three days. He emphasised that centres should be chosen keeping in mind security, logistics, transportation accessibility, and capacity to accommodate candidates. He directed the Deputy Commissioners to get all these centres inspected by senior officers of police and civil administrations.
Sh. Rastogi further instructed that a detailed report containing the list of proposed centres must be submitted to both the Chief Secretary’s office and the HSSC Chairman’s office by Monday. The Chief Secretary reiterated the government’s commitment to uphold the integrity of the recruitment process, and stressed that no lapses or irregularities would be tolerated.
HSSC Chairman Sh. Himmat Singh said a detailed SOP has been shared with all Deputy Commissioners regarding selection of exam centres.
Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education, Sh. Vineet Garg, Commissioner & Secretary, Transport Department, Sh. T.L. Satyaprakash, and senior officers of various departments were present in the meeting.

Officers must regularly visit crèches and observation homes, review facilities: Shruti Choudhry
Chandigarh, June 19 - Haryana's Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Shruti Choudhry directed the officials to regularly visit crèches and observation homes, review the facilities being provided there and submit a report to her. Any kind of negligence in this matter will not be tolerated.
The Minister was chairing a review meeting of the officers of the Women and Child Development Department here today. On this occasion, she also launched two major portals for the development and protection of the beneficiaries, which include the Child Protection Portal and MIS System Portal for Play Schools and Creches.
The Minister was informed that the Child Protection Portal will be helpful in monitoring the children living in child reform homes under Mission Vatsalya. In this, the case can be monitored from FIR registration by the police and the action taken by the Juvenile Justice Board to the rehabilitation plan for each child. The minister directed the officials to provide her the report of the children living in child reform homes in the state.
It was informed in the meeting that the second portal is based on MIS system for play schools and crèches. The Women and Child Development Department has 4000 play schools in the state, in which more than 50,000 children are enrolled. Apart from this, there are more than 7500 children in more than 450 Shishu Grihas. Through the MIS portal, information about all services along with end to end management will be available, which also includes teaching management, attendance management, development monitoring and food tracking.
