Ludhiana 01 October 2025-Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, stands in solidarity with farmers of the state and carried out a series of comprehensive animal health care camps in flood affected regions of Punjab state. Two more camps were organized in districts Amritsar and Ferozepur with active leadership of Dr. JPS Gill, Vice-Chancellor. Dean College of Veterinary Science and Director of Clinics guided the Animal Disease Research Centre of University to conduct these camps.

First animal welfare camp was organized in affected villages of Ramdas, district Amritsar in association with local veterinarian & Kar Sewa fraternity. A dedicated team of veterinary professionals from university, Internship/PG students carried out the examination of affected animals. The team was supported by local veterinarian/para veterinary staff.

Second animal health care camp was organized in affected villages of the Ferozepur district (Khallwala, Kamanewala, and Tendiwala) in association with the Verka Milk Plant, Ferozepur. The initiative aimed to provide immediate veterinary aid, nutritional support, and expert guidance to protect the health of livestock, which is a critical economic asset for the farming communities in these regions. The intervention was also spearheaded by a dedicated team of veterinary professionals. The team was also supported by internship and PG students and supporting staff from Verka Milk Plant, Ferozepur.
