Ludhiana 06 May 2024-Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana organized a 10 days High-End workshop on “Advanced Techniques for Assessment of Biomarkers of Oxidative Stress in Clinical Samples of Animals”. It was sponsored by the Scientific Engineering Research Board (SERB) – Department of Science & Technology (DST).

The concluding function of the workshop was chaired by Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor with a congratulatory note to the organisers on successful completion of the event and best wishes to the participants for their future endeavors.

Dr. Digvijay Singh, HoD, Department of Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry presented the report of the workshop. In the workshop the students were given hands-on training in handling, troubleshooting and learning the advanced equipment and techniques related to analytical biochemistry, molecular biology, cell culture, genomics and proteomics. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr J.P.S. Gill, Director of Research and Dr S.K. Uppal, Dean, Post-Graduate Studies.

Dr. Digvijay Singh informed that It was hosted by the Department of Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry and attended by 25 Postgraduate /Ph.D. students from all over India including 3 from Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, 1 from Chennai, 3 from Pt. Deen Dyal Upadhaya Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Mathura, 2 from Rajasthan University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS), Bikaner, 1 each from Visva Bharti University, West Bengal, Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar and Sanskriti University, Mathura, 7 from School of Pharmaceutical Science, CT University, Ludhiana, 2 from Lovely Professional University ,Phagwara and 2 internal PG students.
