Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh Celebrates 77th Republic Day with Pride and Patriotism

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said that Republic Day symbolises the soul of India’s democracy, the dignity of the Constitution, and the nation’s unity and integrity. He emphasised that the Indian Constitution binds citizens together through equality, unity, and collective responsibility, reminding everyone of their duties along with their rights.

The highlight of the event was the flag hoisting ceremony, where Dr. Ajay Sharma, Principal of GGDSD College, Chandigarh, unfurled the national flag.

*As per the tradition of the college, the oldest serving employee in the order, Mr. Raj Kumar, was the Chief Guest of the day and hoisted the National Flag. *Addressing the gathering, the Principal of the college, Dr. Mrs. Sapna Nanda, congratulated everyone on the occasion and highlighted the constitutional values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity that form the foundation of the Republic of India.

*Sh. H. Rajesh Prasad, IAS, Chief Secretary, U.T. Chandigarh, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. *Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma emphasised the role of educational institutions in nurturing responsible and informed citizens.

Addressing the gathering, Ms. Vaishali Sharma, President, GGDSD College Society, delivered an emotional and heartfelt speech, remembering Dr. Joshi not only as an able administrator and academician but also as a guiding force and moral anchor of the institution.

While honouring the winners in his office, Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice Chancellor, GADVASU complemented the team on bringing laurels to the University at State, Zonal and National levels with their untiring efforts and hard-work.

Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma asserted that the renewed association with CII is a significant step towards bridging the gap between academics and industry

*The lecture was delivered by *Dr. Ravinder Kumar*, Chairperson, Department of Zoology, Panjab University, Chandigarh. *The event was held under the patronage of Dr. Ajay Sharma, Principal of the college.

The event was organized under the guidance and support of Dr. Ajay Sharma and Dr. Tarundeep Kaur, whose encouragement and leadership played a vital role in the smooth execution of the program. Approximately 100 students actively participated in the test, showing keen interest.
