Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor, LPU, stated, "LPU is creating an ecosystem where students do not simply study for examinations but learn to innovate, solve problems, create value, and build careers".

The ceremony was held at the Senate Hall, IIT Ropar, and was presided over by Prof. Rajeev Ahuja, Director, IIT Ropar, as Chief Guest.

*The event was graced by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, as Chief Guest, along with Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pawan Kumar and Registrar Prof. Suneel Kumar as Guests of Honour.

The programme was graced by Sukhminder Kaur Brar, Chairperson, Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi, as Chief Guest, and Abhishek Sharma, Director, Tagore Theatre, as Guest of Honour.

पर्यावरण विभाग, चंडीगढ़ प्रशासन द्वारा प्रायोजित इस कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ जय मधुसूदन जय श्रीकृष्ण फाउंडेशन के संस्थापक एवं निदेशक पर्यावरण सेवक प्रभुनाथ शाही के प्रेरणादायक व्याख्यान से हुआ।

The workshop was conducted by artist and art educator Ms. Deepti Saini Gupta for children aged 3–6 years.

The celebration commenced with a plantation drive under the nationwide campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” at Ashima Chatterji Girls Hostel and Kalpana Chawla Girls Hostel of the university. Prof. Pawan K. Sharma, Pro Vice-Chancellor, and Prof. Suneel Kumar, Registrar, CUH, led the plantation activity and encouraged students to actively participate in environmental conservation efforts.

Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, stated, "Education should never be limited by financial circumstances.Every deserving and talented student must have access to opportunities that enable them to realise their full potential".

Governor congratulated Dr. Anshu Kataria and the residents of Sector 16 for the unique initiative.

Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma lauded the dedicated efforts of the NSS Units, Eco-Club ‘Parivesh’, and Landscaping Committee in spreading environmental awareness and encouraging community participation.

Gearing up for the admission process for the academic session 2026-27, Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women officially released its College and Hostel Prospectus, here today. The prospectuses were unveiled by Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma along with members of the Prospectus Committee.
