During a recent departmental review meeting, the Chief Secretary, UT Chandigarh, directed that approvals for new developmental proposals be expedited, and that all works be executed in a time-bound manner.

To prevent accidents during festive celebrations, particularly Diwali when fireworks are widely used, the Fire and Emergency Services of the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh has issued essential safety guidelines for citizens and shopkeepers.
