Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) successfully hosted its Global Alumni Meet 2026, bringing together distinguished alumni, industry leaders, faculty, and students in a celebration of legacy and lifelong bonds. Presided over by Dr. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia, Director, PEC Chsndigarh

Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, said “Artificial Intelligence should contribute not only to economic growth but also to equity and sustainability. Platforms such as the India AI Impact Summit enable collaboration and global exposure for researchers and student innovators”

Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma sensitised the participants to the physical, mental, and social consequences of drug addiction. She urged them to adopt healthy habits and serve as role models by motivating others to embrace a drug-free and active lifestyle.

* Lovely Professional University becomes host for Jalandhar

Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma commended the Department of English for conceptualising such an innovative programme and appreciated the spirited participation of both faculty and students.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, PUCA and Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, stated that these colleges have been functioning under I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG-PTU), Jalandhar and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda for many years. He informed that around 49 B.Pharmacy colleges are affiliated with IKG-PTU, Jalandhar, while approximately 20 B.Pharmacy colleges are affiliated with MRSPTU, Bathinda.

NRI Sudarshan Garg, who arrived from Chicago, USA, presented awards to students who demonstrated outstanding performance in various competitions.

This special episode featured RJ Manisha, a well-known radio professional, in an engaging conversation celebrating the essence and impact of radio.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Ajay Sharma, Principal, GGDSD College and Dr. Rina, Head of the department with a green welcome to the speaker Dr. Ravinder Singh, Head of the Digital and Systems Team, Cabinet Office, Government Commercial Function, UK Civil Services.
