Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria unveiled the Annual Report of the VADA Club for the academic session 2025–26.

Principal Mr. Reuben John said the Global University Fair was organised to help students make informed decisions about their future and broaden their academic perspectives in an increasingly interconnected world.

School Director Mrs Reema Dewan addressed the august gathering and expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the awardees and the students who had put in their best efforts to make this event a huge success.

Dr. Loviraj Gupta, Pro Vice-Chancellor of LPU stated, “At LPU, we believe that is the foundation of quality education. The priority has always been to keep faculty members updated with evolving technologies, innovative teaching practices, and emerging academic advancements through continuous workshops, training sessions, and development programs".

The Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar) has been conferred the Best Institute Award at Samagam 4.0, the annual Leaders Conclave and Startup Awards organised by Ludhiana Angels Network (LAN). The award was presented by the Hon'ble Governor of Punjab, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria. Prof. Rajeev Ahuja, Director, IIT Ropar, received the award on behalf of the institution.

Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma lauded the efforts of the Eco Club volunteers and underscored the importance of community outreach initiatives in fostering environmental awareness among school students.

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Cahncellor underscored the problem of Alcohol use and stressed on the need of timely assessment, scientific intervention, relapse prevention, and psychosocial rehabilitation for long-term recovery and improved quality of life among affected individuals.

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor congratulated Dr. Savita Budhwar on this remarkable achievement and stated that receiving such a prestigious national-level research project reflects the academic excellence and research capabilities of the university.

Congratulating the athletes and coaches on this remarkable accomplishment, Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU stated, “Sports instill discipline, resilience, leadership, and the courage to excel under pressure.

Mrs. Nidhi Chopra, Principal of Aryans Institute of Nursing, Rajpura Near Chandigarh informed that interested students can register online on the university’s official website till May 20.

Commending the achievement, Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, stated, “The recognition reflects a larger shift in higher education where universities are increasingly being evaluated by the relevance, adaptability, and societal impact of the learning they deliver".
