SHIMLA.14.08.26-Management and students of Delhi Public School, Shimla celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The special assembly presented by the students of Classes IV, V and VI beautifully reflected the spirit of freedom, unity and love for the nation.
The celebrations came alive with vibrant dance performances by the young students of Classes I A and I B, who presented patriotic songs with energy, grace and enthusiasm, captivating the audience.
A Declamation Competition was also organised, giving the students of DPS Shimla an opportunity to express their thoughts on patriotism, national pride and the responsibilities of a good citizen.
The highlight of the celebration was a powerful Nukkad Natak, “Hum Sab Deshbhakt Banenge,” presented by students of Classes III to V. Through their impactful performance, the students conveyed the message that true patriotism is reflected not merely in words, but in our actions, choices and responsibilities towards the nation.
The celebration was graced by, a retired Army personnel and proud grandparent, Sant Ram Bhikta, whose presence added to the spirit of national pride and made the occasion even more meaningful for the DPS Shimla community.
Addressing the students, Headmistress Veena Chauhan shared a thoughtful message on patriotism, inspiring the young learners to embrace a renewed sense of unity, love for the nation and responsibility as proud citizens of India.
The celebration was a beautiful reflection of the spirit of “Nation First”, as the students of DPS Shimla came together to honour the freedom, values and responsibilities that unite us as a nation.
