Two arrested for Mining
A case FIR No. 86 U/S 21 Mines & Minerals Act and 303(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station IT Park, Chandigarh, on the complaint of Sh. Navneet Sharma, SDO, Sub Division No. 4, CHB. The complainant stated that on 01.11.2025 at around 9:20 AM, illegal lifting/theft of soil was being carried out near Lalit Hotel towards Kishangarh side. The accused were identified and apprehended on the spot as Aalam S/o Sher Mohammad, R/o Ambwala, Chandimandir Cantt., Haryana, age 37 year and Jasveer @ Jassa S/o Karnail Singh, R/o Village Alipur, Panchkula, Haryana, age 21 years. All arrested accused are in police lock-up.
Two arrested under Arms act
A case FIR No. 164 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Sector 11, Chandigarh. The complainant reported that on 01.11.2025 at about 7:20 PM, during patrolling near Beat Box, Sector 25, Chandigarh, two suspects were apprehended. Upon search, the police recovered two Kamanidar knives from their possession. The accused were identified as Dev S/o Ajit Kumar, R/o #1301, Sector 25/D, Chandigarh, age 22 years; Manit Kumar S/o Randhir, R/o #364, Village Maloya, Chandigarh, age 22 years. Both accused were arrested on the spot and are presently in police lock-up.
Accident
A case FIR No. 88 U/S 125, 281 BNS has been registered at Police Station Mani Majra, Chandigarh, on the complaint of ASI Nirmal Singh of the Traffic Wing. He reported that on 01.11.2025 at about 10:30 AM, near BSNL Turn, Mani Majra, a white car driven by Aman Khan S/o Mohmad Arif, R/o #1018/6, Govindpura, Mani Majra, age 22 years, hit the Government motorcycle No. CH-01GA-7193, which was being driven by Ct. Pardeep (4864/CP). As a result, Constable Pardeep sustained injuries and was admitted to Max Hospital, Mohali for treatment. No arrest has been made so far.
Cheating
A case FIR No. 127 U/S 319(2), 318(4), 336(3), 338, 340(2), 61(2) BNS has been registered at Cyber Crime Police Station, Chandigarh, on the complaint of Harish Chander Jain. He reported that an unknown cyber fraudster(s) cheated him of ₹6,39,000/- through an online scam. The complainant transferred the money believing false assurances given by the fraudsters. Investigation of the case is in progress.
