CHANDIGARH POLICE BRIEF OF CASES DATED-30.04.2025

One arrested in NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Amrit Pal R/o # 2015 Sector 37/C Chandigarh age-36 yrs near Dispensary Sector-38, Chandigarh and recovered 10.60 gram heroin from his possession. A Case FIR No 59 U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Sector 39 Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Attempt to Murder

A Case FIR No 35 U/S 109, 115(2), 118(1), 3(5) BNS has been registered in Police Station Mauli Jagran Chandigarh on the complaint of Om Parkash R/o # 2676, Mauli Jagran Complex Chandigarh against Puran and his sons all R/o # 2676 Mauli Jagran Complex Chandigarh who stabbed complainant son namely Sonu in his back with a knife and also hit complainant in his head with a brick on 28.04.2025. Complainant son got injured and admitted to GMCH-32 Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Assault

A Case FIR No 34 U/S 115(2), 118(1), 3(5) BNS has been registered in Police Station Manimajra Chandigarh on the complaint of Jaspreet Singh @ Sonu R/o # 558 Samadhi gate Manimajra Chandigarh against Sulu, Akash, Harsh and others, complainant stated that above said person attacked to him and Bhavesh Kumar R/o # 424 Manav Colony Saketri Panchkula with sticks, sharp weapon at near juice shop Samadhi gate Manimajra Chandigarh. Due to this both got injured and Bhavesh Kumar admitted in PGIMER Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Unlawful Assembly/threatened

A case FIR No. 23 u/s 232(1), 189(4), 190, 351(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Gurdial Singh R/o # 2010 Guru Nanak Vihar, Sector-49C Chandigarh Age-71 yrs against 5-6 unknown persons with car No. DL3CW2266 in which there were 5 people dressed as nihang near the car and one person was sitting in the car who was wearing a turban on 26.04.2025. All of them had swords and axes, they threatened him that he would harass those who lived in # 2007 (Gurvant Singh and his wife and Renu Dhiman). Investigation of this case is in progress.
