Chandigarh police achieved a major success by arresting the accused namely Sahil S/o Hussain R/o# 272, Small Flats Maloya, Chandigarh, Age 19 years, who was involved in case FIR No. 43 Dated 26.04.2024 U/S 379-A IPC added 411, IPC, PS Ind. Area, Chandigarh, which was registered on the complaint of Durgesh Kumar S/o Krishna Kumar R/o # 280, Kachchi Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh, in which he reported that he is working in phase-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh and on 26.04.2024 at about 08.30 PM, he was going to his home from his work on his bicycle. When he reached near 27/28/29/30 round about, an unknown motorcycle rider, aged around 24/25 year, came from behind and snatched his mobile phone make OPPO F21 PRO & fled away. During the course of investigation accused Sahil has been arrested on 01.05.2024 and the snatched mobile phone and motorcycle used in crime have been recovered from his possession:-

CHANDIGARH,03.05.2024 In a major breakthrough, under the overall supervision of Ms.Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, SSP-UT Chandigarh, under the directions of Sh. Mridul, IPS, SP-City Chandigarh, a team led by Sh. Charanjit Singh Virk, CPS, SDPO/South-West and Sh. Jaspal Singh, SHO, PS-Maloya achieved a success in sensational blind murder of a lady namely Mandeep Kaur in which Case FIR No.02 Dated. 12.01.2022 U/s 302 IPC, PS-Maloya UT, Chandigarh was registered. Brief facts of the case: 1. On dated:11.01.2022 at about 08.00 pm, Inder Singh S/o Nishan Singh R/o Forest area, Village-Maloya reported that, he along with his wife Mandeep Kaur went to market near bus stand, Maloya on motorcycle and his wife was having only Rs.250/- and she has to buy house hold articles from the market. He dropped her in the market and went to his nephew for borrowing some more money from him. After 10-15 minutes when he returned to the market, his wife didn’t meet him. He returned to his home but his wife wasn’t there also, so, he lodged a missing report in PS-Maloya. He searched his wife from his nearer and dearer till late night but in vain. On, 12.01.2022, he again searched his missing wife and he went to jungle area near his house and found naked dead body of his wife. Accordingly, the instant case was registered. 2. Through human intelligence, Forensic/Scientific/Technical support and sincere efforts by showing professional acumen, PS-Maloya team (Chandigarh Police) arrested accused namely Monu Kumar S/o Vikram Singh R/o Jhuggi No.16, Shahpur Colony, Sector-38, West, Chandigarh, age-38 years (Taxi driver) on 01.05.2024. During the investigation, he confessed to the crime. During the interrogation, he also disclosed the sensational murder of Ms.Neha D/o Rajbir Singh R/o # 5150, Sec-38, West, Chandigarh, age-22 years in which Case FIR No.311 dated:31.07.2010 U/S 302 IPC, PS-39, Chandigarh has already been registered on the complaint of Rajbir Singh who disclosed that on dated:30.07.2010 at about 06 pm, his daughter Neha, aged about 21 years left their house on Scooter CH03Q6070 for Sector-15 to attend the English speaking classes. When Neha did not returned till 09 pm, he called Neha’s friend Kanika and enquired about Neha but she told that Neha did not came to her. After sometimes, one friend Ms. Jyotsna came to his house and told that Neha came to her around 07.30 pm and left her at about 07.45 pm. Thereafter, they all searched for Neha but could not be located. In the meantime, he received a call from Kanika that Neha’s Scooter is parked near Taxi Stand, Sector-38, west with blood stain, accordingly, they reached at Karan Taxi Stand and found that on the other side of the road, half naked Neha was lying in pool of blood in the bushes. She was rushed to PGI where duty doctor declared her as brought dead. 3. Further, during the course of interrogation, accused Monu Kumar disclosed that he never made Adhaar Card as he was apprehending that his identity may be disclosed and will be caught. It is also found that accused Monu Kumar was a Drug Addict. Detail of the accused: 1. Monu Kumar S/o Vikram Singh R/o Jhuggi No.16, Shahpur Colony, Sector-38, West, Chandigarh, age-38 years. Height-5’ 6”, Education-7th , Fair Complexion. As per interrogation, the following cases found registered against him:
