Chandigarh, May 6 - Special arrangements will be made at the polling centres on May 25 to prevent from heat waves. Basic facilities including tents, fans, and drinking water will be ensured for protection from heat. Apart from this, the BLO will also give information to the voters through the queue app about how many people are in the queue to vote, so that there is not too much crowd at the polling station at one time and one cast their vote with convenience.

Haryana Chief Electoral Officer, Sh. Anurag Agarwal, today chaired a review meeting with officers regarding election arrangements. He has appealed to 2 crore 76 thousand 441 voters of the state to celebrate the festival of democracy on May 25 and cast their vote. He said that voters should not bring mobile phones, electronic gadgets, electronic watches, spy cameras, etc., inside the polling booths, as this could violate the secrecy of voting. He clarified that only presiding officers would be allowed to carry mobile phones. Voters should only bring their identification documents.

Candidates must disclose criminal records publicly

Sh. Anurag Agarwal said that candidates contesting elections must disclose their criminal records, if any, publicly. For this, candidates must provide complete information about their criminal cases along with an affidavit in Form-26. Additionally, the relevant political party must also publish information about the candidate's criminal cases on its official website. He said that the process of filing nominations was complete on May 6, and after filing nominations, it is mandatory for candidates and political parties to disclose information about criminal cases at least three times in newspapers and TV channels.

Chandigarh, May 6 – Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Anurag Agarwal emphasized the paramount importance of the public in the democratic process, stating that every vote holds significant value. He urged all voters to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming festival of democracy on May 25th. Stressing the rarity of this opportunity, occurring only once every five years, he encouraged citizens not to squander it but rather take pride in contributing to the fortification of democracy through their votes.

The Chief Electoral Officer remarked that the high number of youth in our country due to which India is referred to as a young nation. He stressed the importance of youth understanding that their participation strengthens democracy. Calling upon the youth, he said that if they want to keep their voices strong, they must ensure their participation by voting in the festival of democracy. He reminded everyone that equal voting rights are guaranteed in the Constitution. Under the SVEEP campaign, women should be told that the value of their vote is equal to that of men. Therefore, he encouraged them to participate enthusiastically in the largest democracy festival and to cast their votes without any fear, choosing the right candidate.

51 Skilled Students of J.C. Bose University's Community College secured Placements in the Shigan Group

Chandigarh May 6 – The Community College of Skill Development (CCSD) of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, has attracted Multinational Companies to hire skilled hands through the placement drive conducted by the University. In the recent hiring, Shigan Group, the global manufacturing company for providing solutions to the Automobile Industry, has placed 51 students from different B.Voc courses. The students placed by the company are from B.Voc in Electrical, Automobile, and Manufacturing courses.

The Community College is an innovative approach of the University to impart skilled-based education and training to underprivileged youth; especially those who come from rural backgrounds and empower them by providing gainful employment opportunities in collaboration with local industries.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar extended his best wishes to the students on their selection. He said that it is good to see our students securing positions with esteemed companies like Shigan Group. He focused on how the CCSD is bridging the gap between academia and industry, ensuring that students are equipped with practical skills that meet the demands of the job market.

Principal (CCSD), Dr. Sanjeev Goyal said that the success of our students in securing placements with multinational companies like Shigan Group reaffirms the effectiveness of our skill-based education model. By collaborating closely with local industries, the College under the University is not only providing employment opportunities but also nurturing a skilled workforce that drives economic growth and innovation.

Detailing about the students placement, Vice-Principal Mr. Nitin Goyal apprised that the students have been selected by the company in two categories. First are those who will complete their sixth semester training in the company and will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 17,000 during their training period, followed by salary and increment upon completion. Similarly, in the second category, fourth-semester students will undergo a one-year On-Job Training (OJT) program, and will receive a stipend of Rs. 12,000 per month. After the completion of OJT, they will be absorbed by the company.

At present, the University has been offering 6 B.Voc, 2 PG Diploma and 2 Diploma courses under its Community College of Skill Development. More than 700 students are studying in these courses and acquiring Skill based Education.

During the past year, more than 75 percent of eligible students have been placed in various reputed industries like Sigan Group, Minda Group, Technotrendz Solutions, Orient Electric, Softvik, and GKN driveline for on job training and placements.

Departmental exams in Haryana from June 19

Chandigarh, May 6 - IAS and HCS officers desirous of appearing in the departmental examinations to be held in Haryana in the coming month of June will have to send their requests to the Personnel Department before the last date of May 30, 2024, so that it can be sent to the Central Examination Committee within the prescribed time.

A letter to this effect has been issued by the Chief Secretary's office today. According to the letter, the HCS (Executive Branch) Officers whose induction training has not been declared complete by the Training Branch will not be eligible to appear for the departmental examination.

It is noteworthy that the Central Committee of Examination will organize departmental examinations for the departments of Revenue and Disaster Management, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Cooperation, Development and Panchayat, Panchayati Raj, Fisheries, Forest, Excise and Taxation, Jail, Wildlife Conservation and Election from June 19 onwards. These examinations will be held at Saarthak Government Integrated Senior Secondary School, Sector-12-A, Panchkula. The date sheet of these examinations is also available on csharyana.gov.in.
