Chandigarh 24 Jun 2020. Under the “Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat” initiative of the Union Government and HQ DG NCC, the NCC cadets of Karnataka & Goa NCC directorate are paired with the cadets of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal & Chandigarh. A series of activities are going on as part of the national programme aimed at fostering national integrity and brotherhood. As part of it, 50 NCC cadets from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal & Chandigarh NCC directorate and 50 NCC cadets from Karnataka & Goa Directorate are currently undergoing a webinar being organised by Airwing NCC under the aegis of NCC Group Headquarters Chandigarh.

Group Captain M R Pandeya Commanding Officer NCC Airwing said that under the unique programme “Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat” initiative, a group of 100 cadets are interacting with each other by being online from their respective houses. They learned about the traditional meals of the two state and learnt a few sentences from their languages such as Kannada,Tulu, Urdu and Punjabi. The programme is being coordinated by Wing Commander BS Srinivas from Chandigarh.

I am excited to have such a new experience, said Cadet Shakti Raj from Karnataka NCC said and also expressed happiness over learning from cadetsof P, H, HP & C Dteabout their language, customs and practices. Young cadets also exchanged details of important sightseeingand historical places in each other’s states.
