One arrested under Arm Act
A case FIR No. 197 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station 31, against Sameer Singh @ Sam @ Langar S/o Ranvir Singh, R/o H. No. 57, Phase-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh, aged 19 years. As per the police report, the accused was apprehended near H. No. 1201, Sector-47/B, Chandigarh, on 24-10-2026. During the search, a button-operated spring-loaded knife was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and lodged in police lock-up.
Two arrested under NDPS ACT
A case FIR No. 198 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station 31, against Shivam @ Shiv S/o Suresh Sharma, R/o H. No. 03, Village Nizampur Faidan, Chandigarh, aged 22 years. He was apprehended from under the bridge on Kacha Rasta, Village Faidan, Chandigarh, on 24-10-2026 at about 4:45 PM. During the search, 11.45 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and lodged in police lock-up.
A case FIR No. 180 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station 39 DCC, Sector-24, Chandigarh, against Vipin Joshi S/o Late Sh. Mahesh Anand, R/o H. No. 838, Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh, aged 41 years. He was apprehended near Slip Road, Ziri Mandi Chowk, Chandigarh, on 24-10-2026 at about 1:15 AM. During the search, 34.93 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and lodged in police lock-up.
ASSAULT WITH KNIFE
A case FIR No. 176 u/s 118(1), 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Mauli Jagran on the complaint of Ashish S/o Sham Sunder, R/o H. No. 584, Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, aged 18 years. The complainant reported that on 23-10-2026 at about 9:00 PM, he was allegedly attacked with a knife and bitten by Kamal and Ashu near his house. The incident occurred in the Vikas Nagar area of Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. The complainant sustained injuries during the incident. Investigation of the case is in progress.
