Anil Vij Attends Seva Jyoti Programme as Chief Guest under Seva Sankalp Campaign

Chandigarh, October 7: Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi had removed the Congress’s scam-ridden government from the country and established a Bharatiya Janata Party government dedicated to public service. The entire country is grateful to Prime Minister Modi for this, he said.

He further said that building a developed India by 2047 is not merely the government’s resolve but a collective commitment shared by every citizen. He said the term Seva Sankalp comprises two words—seva, meaning service, and sankalp, meaning resolve. Every citizen should take a pledge to serve society in whichever field and capacity possible, he added.

Sh. Vij made these remarks today while participating as the chief guest in the Seva Jyoti Yatra organised at the Police Lines in Ambala City under the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. The programme was held to mark the completion of 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service.

The Energy Minister said that in 2001, “the son of Bharat Mata,” Sh. Narendra Modi, took oath as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Since then, he has completed 25 years of dedicated service in public life. To commemorate this milestone, the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is being conducted across the country.

Sh. Vij said that everyone had listened to the Prime Minister’s address and taken note of the achievements made as well as the ambitious goals set for the future. He highlighted that the Prime Minister repeatedly used the word “we” rather than “I”—a “we” that includes him, every public representative and the entire people of the country.

He said the government was working to achieve the goal of building a developed India by 2047, but citizens must also join this collective effort through acts of service. This is the purpose behind the Seva Jyoti Yatra, which will travel through every locality, village and city. A dedicated site has been developed in Ambala where the flame will be installed. The message of the yatra is to light one lamp from another and one flame from another, and to remove darkness wherever it exists in the country, Sh. Vij said.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner and other officials welcomed Energy Minister Anil Vij upon his arrival at the programme venue. During the event, attendees listened to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s live address.

Following the address, Sh. Anil Vij and former Minister of State Aseem Goyal lit the ceremonial torch and flagged off the Seva Jyoti Yatra. The yatra proceeded from the Police Lines to the Old Sessions Court, where the flame was installed. During the procession, Minister Anil Vij raised slogans of “Vande Mataram” and infused the gathering with enthusiasm.

Hundreds of Bharatiya Janata Party workers from Ambala Cantonment participated in the programme, arriving in a convoy of 42 buses.

Former Minister of State Aseem Goyal, former MLA Pawan Saini, Municipal Corporation Mayor Akshita Saini, Municipal Council President Swarn Kaur and District President Mandeep Rana were among those present, along with a large number of party office-bearers and workers.
